icon coil-over's

I want them for my 2012 but it seems like a good deal but he said he replaced these with the same thing when he sent them in. What could be wrong with them? Any ideas?

 

He just had them rebuilt I imagine... New seals, etc. after a 50k miles returns performance.

It's standard procedure to rebuild these.

 

not sure what the deal is with them. the add says they come with a one year warranty though. you could always ask him. seemed like a ok deal.

 

I would also ask him if he's including the sway bar relocation brackets and actual pics of the coil overs

 

have some swaybar relocation brackets from icon if you need em since i dont have a swaybar

 

Why would he put "Will ship directly from Icon Vehicle Dynamics"? He states he lives in Dallas. Maybe Icon will ship them to the buyer for him. But not having actual pictures is a little risky.

 

Someone should get actual pics before buying them or talk directly to ICON as to make sure its on the up and up.

My theory................he had them....they needed to be redone......hes got cash............he got new ones sent to him for a quick swap while these were being rebuilt...............and now hes selling them to off set his cost of new ones....kinda smart and a good deal if they are in fact factory rebuilt and come with said warranty.

or even better ask ICON as well..............because feedback and other peoples's opinion dont matter as much to me as the manufacturuers does like ICON. And in this rare case one has the opportunity to ask both the seller and factory so give one even more assurance.

Id be interested in their response to see if this is a common practice for customers getting rebuilds who bought a new set as well. Cuz if so this is a good deal for someone.

And OP you posted up a good thread......it just seems some people really dont like seeing other peoples opinions or "theories". I digress

 

Also......its not a huge deal but I like how TW has a "actual item" pic rule about what you are selling. I am not doubting this is on the up and up but I would wanna see the actual item to see if they have large dings or any suface rusting.
