CBI sliders, ADS extend travel with compression adjuster coil overs, 9” Bilstein 5125 rear shocks, Icon Tubular UCA, Alcan custom leafs, All Pro Apex bumper and skids, NWTI rear diy bumper, 295/70/17 Cooper St Maxxs and nitro 4.88s.
Shocks are back today. So glad to get them back on my truck tomorrow, my tires rub a lot on the stock coilovers. Anyway I found this on the website, says they should be rebuilt every 15K if using them on street/dirt. iconservice.jpg

That good info on rebuild intervals. I recent bought a set of seals to rebuild mine when I have the time. I'm around 25k on them now and thought that might be a little early sounds like it may not be.

Anyone know where besides Icon you can buy the shorter spacer to install to convert the CO's to extended travel?

Do you plan to rebuild them yourself?

Yeah that's the plan. I've watched a few YT videos on it. Seems somewhat straightforward, just meticulous and time consuming. My truck isn't my DD though, I i can deal with having it down for a little bit if needed. I just would like to find the Ext Travel spacer and also need the shock oil still. I also have thought about switching over to 600lbs springs at the same time since mine is a 2.7L

Do you need any special tools? I want to start looking into it now, for future reference, so that next time I can do it.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
The fluid isn't really special lots of aviation grade oils will work but Fox shock oil is the easiest to come by.

It doesn't like it requires anything crazy. A bench vice is the main thing, it seems like, to hold the shock in place when loosening and retorquing bolts.

Does it make any difference which shock oil is used in different brands of CO's? I have a set of Kings as well that I bought used off of Craigs that need a rebuild. I was hoping to just buy a gallon of shock oil to use in both sets of shocks.

I've seen them on some vehicles during winter but that's about it. Never on trucks either usually on nicer lowered cars.
