I recently bought a pair of Icon 2.5 coilovers used from a guy on here. Before slapping them on the truck, I figured I better make sure the shocks were performing. Its a good thing I did as one has no pressure in it. The other feels great. I'm confident I can rebuild them myself with kits you can buy, but I'm stuck on a few questions. I'm wondering if I can just have that one recharged and see if it will stay or just rebuild them both and be done. Another is do I have to use the ICON shock oil or is there another I can use. $57 a gallon seems pretty steep. I know I can ship them off and have Icon rebuild them but that would be almost double the cost of doing it myself.
Just looking for opinions. Thanks guys

Rebuild both. icon doesn't make their own oil. its just rebranded from some other supplier. find out what weight/specs oil is needed and buy from a universal brand.

You can more than likely get them rebuilt at a nearby powersports dealer/mechanic if you give them the service parts. just another option.
