So I purchased this ICON suspension because I read a lot of good stuff about them. Heard they were amazing on road and even Better offroad. Well idk how because they feel stiff ass sh*t! I feel almost every bump on a bumpy road and the whole cab shakes when I hit a pot hole. I thought these were supposed to absorb all these bumps! I really wish I would have gone with Kings smh! Feels like I’m riding on rough country. Honestly very disappointed.

    Tire psi is:
    30psi front
    27psi rear

Oh and I don’t have a sway bar. removed it as soon as I isntalled these shocks.
Also If anyone has any idea what could I do to help with the stiffness please let me know. Other than that I might just get some kings

You have a lot of preload on those, that will make it stiff.

It’s only 1 3/4 but that’s to make up for the driver side lean and yeah I know I should have just gotten kings. If I wanted a shitty ride I would have just bought Roigh country for 1/4 the price lol

650lb. That’s what icons come with & kings come with 600lb. I added an aluminum bumper to try and add weight up front but still feels the same

Those aluminum bumpers won't do anything, I had to add a full steel plate bumper and skids to my 886 coils so it didn't feel like I was being punched in the spleen over a speed bump lol.

my ride is amazing. The answer for me was a 700lb King spring and ARB bull bar. Good luck with whatever you get next. Good news is, you can get some money back, there’s a decent market for used coil overs on here.

Y'all must have asses made of glass if you think Icons ride rough. Did you all drive 1979 Cadillacs before you bought your truck?

Ah the digressive vs progressive vs linear thread today...something is out of wack. My experience with ICONs is nothing short of an amazing improvement on and of course off road. I have a similar preload and such, slightly more coordinated set but same ballpark. I’d suggest calling them on Monday and get the straight dope from them. Also some shop that has a wiz kid might see what’s out or tune right away. Good luck and sorry it’s not a great first start.

My Icons ride so well- let my in- laws in their 70's drive my truck cross country; they want to do it again! Smooth as silk, like a touring sedan- on and off road.

I've had mine for almost 2 years, and no issues. I thought they were stiff, but gave @LocoLocal a ride, and compared to his spacer lift, they are butter.. apparently. I have a hybrid bumper, winch, steel skids, SC, etc. I have 700lb springs too. Like everyone else is saying, you either need more weight, or less preload :notsure:

You should have. I have a Rough Country lift and cheap Freedom coilovers and I don't have any problems with my ride.
