Icon Extended Travel Coilovers leaking

One of my 2 Icons is leaking. (6 Years old) I'm planning on getting both rebuilt, BUT, what happens when all the oil is leaked out? I don't notice any difference on the road or even off road. Will I notice a difference? Leaving for a deer hunt and would like to know if I should take another vehicle.

 

Front or rear?
You can drive on it but without oil you risk premature wear on internals- meaning you could possibly make your rebuild parts list a little longer. Best case scenario, nothing happens and you can rebuild normally (new seals, oil, nitro). Worst case- shims, valves and shaft will need to be replaced. It's highly unlikely if you're not bashing on the truck but is possible.
