Nothing huge, but I want to change out the ugly ass bolts on the faux bead lock on the ICON Compression wheels I recently purchased. This bolt has a pretty funky thread pitch and rather than tell me what it is, ICON reps claim they have no idea what it is. Crappy service is enough for me to take them back and go with SCS!!

Pop one out and measure thread pitch yourself or go down to hardware store/machine shop where they have gauges..
Regardless, a company should know their product inside and out. Probably just a bit of laziness TBH

Yeah, I did exactly that. The local hardware stores tried 5/16"x18, 20,22,24 and no good on any. Just a really weird deal!!

I’ve yet to find something they can’t figure out. There’s been a couple times they didn’t have it in stock but it was there the next day

I was just there today and it took all of 5 minutes to get an exact replacement for what I had

The chrome hex bolts look really janky! Aside from the bolts, I love the wheels!!! I would do either a black Torx OR...have the torx glass beaded and painted Cement to match the truck!!

Here are the specs of the bolt.

    M8-1.25 x 8mm

Not a standard size. The few cases I've dealt with the customer sourced a 10mm bolt and used a washer to prevent it from bottoming out in the wheel. I also have seen someone grind a tap to allow it to thread a few mm deeper into the lip to run a 10mm without a washer.

Called ICON AGAIN today - two times with no call back, no reply to e mail or FB post. Answer today I got when I advised that I would return the wheels if I had to deal with the ugly bolts, "Yeah, I would say you should take them and the suspension back for a refund". No worries, DONE!! Poor customer service will lose in my book EVERY time!!

If the holes are drilled deep enough you can use a bottoming tap to tap to the bottom of the hole.

    https://www.amazon.com/1-25-Bottoming-Taps-Speed-Steel/dp/B00KDN7RH8

But you bought the wheels knowing full well what the bolts look like - if you want to change them out expect to do some leg-work to make it happen.

Lol @ returning your wheels and suspension because you’re being ridiculously OCD and whining about what wheel bolts look like.

You sound like a customer service nightmare: entitled, loud, unrelenting when you don’t have an answer in 2 minutes and just plain rude.

Total side bar, but I hear Sam Kinison's voice in my head when I read this thread. Also, @Icon_Adrian replied with the proper bolt size...
