I did the math recently and it would cost about $70 per shock to rebuild them myself (minus nitrogen) using Icon seals and oil.

I would have never thought to drive the truck to get the shocks serviced. Don't most people take them off and send them in by post?

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
What town do you live in? There are plenty of places that I'm sure have the capability to rebuild your shocks that aren't listed on Icon's site. There's a few power sports shops in my area that have the capability to do so. With that said, I've had nothing but good things to say about Icon customer support. Adrian has been very helpful to me and my customers. Rebuilding shocks isn't for your average person, there is more involved that merely tearing it down and putting it back together. Having someone knowledgeable is good to have do it. If you need any help with this, let me know and I'll be glad to lend a hand.

Why do you have to get them serviced at a "service center"...there are tons of shops that can service shocks, there's nothing unique or special about Icons that makes them only able to be serviced by authorized 'centers'. Have them rebuilt by any shop or person that knows how, I'm sure there are many in your area.

It makes me extremely happy that the forum icon for this thread is the dumpster fire. Fitting.

    About right.

I just purchased a new 7/8 shaft for my 2.5 Kings 60.00, seal kit 22.00. Gallon shock oil 30.00. Pretty cheap.

OP says not his first post, has two post history, if OP was first post reply was 2nd...

I'm bad at math but not that bad.

69, there's two types of people who put 69 in their username, and something tells me you weren't born in 69.

Man am I pissed that they haven't put a Taco Bell inside my house theres like 4 people living here! Screw TacoBell and their terrible business practices! /S

In all actuality they probably stopped servicing shocks in house as they make more money and needed the space for just building product and with enough people out there who can service shocks it wasn't cost effective for them to maintain mechanical staff for the purpose of rebuilds.

MODs, can we get a lock and delete?

    Unless y'all find this entertaining.

My local JCPenny sells and services rebuildable shocks, and they don't even have an automotive department.
