Looks like the BAMF skids cover the cam bolts and icons don't but would be needed to run their secondaries. For mid travel I don't see a secondary bypass being necessary but to each their own! The rear S2.....now that's another story!

Better price than the rear bump stops and cans...

But yeah, I'd shell out an extra $1100 for a seconday Icon shock setup.

Front setup looks very nice. That tends to be the norm with Icon products.

I'm not crazy about how the secondary shock mount is set-up to be a bolt-in. A LOT of leverage on the stock coilover bucket, and there is evidence to suggest those things could use reinforcing as it.

The weld in TC option is mush more appealing to me from a strength perspective.

Damned if that setup's not pretty though. Does seem a like a little bit of overkill without LT.

Edit: Cost is also a concern here. By the time you get done putting this amount of MT hardware in, you're well into the $$ territory of a longtravel setup, and a few grand more puts a solid axle up front.

I'm just confused as to how the secondary shock mounts to the LCA? Only saw one loop...

I hope it's not just a bolt attachment that gets the shit levered out of it. But that was something I was curious about as well.

Yea, like mentioned before, looks like you need to add another bolt hole onto stock LCA lol...either that or the secondary has a 2 prong thing on the end lol

It is bolt on, and that's why I like it. That's the point of it being a modular setup.

I don't think Icon cuts corners, so I'm trusting them in their engineering.

And the LT comment, I don't want LT. I don't want new fenders or extende axles, etc. Mid travel is the way to go for me, and by the looks of that setup in use, it's PLENTY more than I will ever need. But it's nice to have.

Its an interesting setup, but the 4Runner in the video is using Icon bypass shocks, I think.

It's using the same setup I posted earlier.

I'm running their stuff and I'm very happy with it, but I don't pound washouts at 45+.

Generally speaking, high speed litterbox romping is hell on suspension. Crawling is hell on drivetrain parts.

I've seen more than a few broken Icon tophats...supposedly they've redesigned since then...I'm just saying I don't like what's going on with that secondary shock mount. It relies on the coil bucket for a mount point rather than reinforcing it.
