Yea same thing why go with that when for a lil more $$ you can get something that is re-buildable. Only thing is what to get? At least with OME there were not many choices but coilovers is what I will go with.

I love my Kings. But I am sure I would like the Icons if I had them. My big three. Kings, Icon and Fox. Unless you are a pro and doing long travel and tons of testing. You are not going to feel much of a difference. When you're on the trail it 90% man, 10% machine.

The only reason I got Icons was because they had a big discount at the time and were $400 cheaper than the kings. If you have the money, I would get Kings, but I love the Icons as well and haven't had one problem with them.

How close would the 5100/eibach setup be to a king, fox, icon set up? Im just looking to soak up bumps in normal driving and moderate offroading. No prerunning here in CNY

You would be fine with that set up. But you can't compare them to the King/Icon/Fox set ups.

Fox Also has an extended travel that has to be paired with an aftermarket uniball UCA, with that the travel gain is about 1.75" over stock.

just my $.02, but I've got an '11 OR w/ King's all the way around, Total Chaos UCA's and a Deaver leaf pack in the back. the ride is definitely stiffer than stock, but i wouldn't call it a detriment. stock it rode like a car, now it feels like a truck. feels more badass than anything. the thing rallies w/ the King's. I can consistently take speed bumps at 45 mph without jarring anything. hitting the same speed bump at 45 in my stock truck would have wrecked it. in reading some of the previous posts it was mentioned that the King's soften during big hits. i can completely agree on this. the faster you go the smoother they feel. its like they want you to go faster and hit bigger things. oh, and as an added benefit, they look freaking amazing tucked in your wheel wells. if you want your truck to scream "BadAss" nothing does it like bright blue King racing shocks w/ remote reservoirs.

Kings stiffen with big hits. Icons soften.

^^^I thaught they were both relatively the same?
In any case I pan on getting Icons later on. My RadFlo's just dont cut it. there harsh over bumps and pot holes.

Resurrecting this, I thought King's were stiffer with big hits since they are progressive? and Icons being digressive, got softer?
