Icon Rear Shocks, 2.0" - ABQ, NM

05+ Icon 2.0" remote reservoir shocks. These are the original version. No leaks, worked great. Shafts are in perfect condition as they had boots installed (just lose because I cut zip ties to check shafts). The clear coat on the shock bodies is not perfect and could use some love. But there are no mechanical issues and the bodies are aluminum so no corrosion. Asking $170 shipped OBO.

 

Those don't look like Icons...

 

They are the original ones they used to sell. Back when Icon was Danahoe Racing and then early on in Icon history. They have sense updated their design and use a different reservoir now. The PO of my truck who purchased them had them installed by a shop who took the Icon stickers off and put their shop sticker on... It was part of one of Icons kits as everything else on my truck is Icon, not the older DR.

Can you rebuild them?

Not sure if rebuildable, maybe Icon can if you contact them. They seem to be though, looks like you can remove the dust cap like most rebuildable shocks. I have rebuilt a handful of shocks in my day and I can tell you these are not in need currently. No leaks or signs of anything, no oil build up or anything like that. Still have a nice nitrogen charge to them. The boots really protected them!

As for miles, my truck has 50k on it and I am not sure when the shocks were installed by the previous owner. As I said above mechanically these things are in great shape and will do the job you want them to do.

what kind of travel do they have

 

Here are the shock stats, not sure what it equates to on the truck. I ran them with Deavers and they flexed good. 9.75" travel, 24.5 extended, 14.75 collapsed.
