Anyone run this setup? Just looking for real world experiences, likes or dislikes. I'm basically planning on the stage 2 kit, which has 2.0 resi's for rears, but with a Dakar pack instead of the icon AAL. I know I need the extended travel to make it fit.

My concern is not currently having any additional weight in the bed. My plan is a bed rack, recovery gear, tire etc possibly even a RTT at some point as well.

Can anyone with this set up tell me what to expect as far as ride quality, lift height etc? Not concerned with achieving a specific height on the lift. I want to make sure the shocks are set to function as efficiently as they are designed for.

I assume with no weight the ride will be pretty rough/bouncy.

the dakar pack is gonna be a great pack if you constantly have 300ish lbs in the back.

The icon shocks will pair great with it. Just make sure your collapsed length is not too long, you dont want to bottom that nice shock before hitting bump..... about 15inches collapsed length is the max you can get away with, with stock mounting locations.

From what I've read yes it does. I'm no expert though.

I have a boat I tow often in summer months and usually full of camping/hunting gear much if the fall season.

Once I get my other gear I'm guessing I'll have 150-200 pounds all the time. That could be a while though. I'd rather just get the Dakar pack now instead of the AAL for a while and then tear it apart again for the Dakars later.

Those are my initial thoughts anyway.

I'm running Icons with Dakars. I love the combination. One thing I will warn/advise is that when the Dakar pack is new, you're truck will sit really ass-high. They break in and eventually settle, but it takes a bit. Added weight in the rear helps speed this up. I have noticed that without any weight in the back and normal driving, the ride is a little stiff, but not much more than stock. With the added weight of a bedrack and/or gear, its buttery smooth. I'm really happy with it.

Any idea what to expect from the ride height/quality before I get the weight? Like I said before I'm not concerned with achieving a specific height. Just curious if I'm going to have to deal with a crazy rake for a while. I figure roughly 2.5-2.75" up front with the coil overs and UCA's.

I'm running the Dakar leafs and Icon 2.0 w/ reservoirs and love it. It's on the stiffer side for sure on the road, but who cares :drunk:

Posted at the same time. I kind of figured the rake would be bad before the break in. Thanks for the tips!

One thing to note is that I got the stage 4 kit and I had to crank up my front coilovers up about an inch to get the rake to look less goofy. I don't have exact measurements, but I'd say I'm at about 3" in the front (after the adjustment) and 3.5-4" in the rear with no weight.

Stacked spacer lift, 22x12 wheels with stretched 33's, tow mirrors, bull nuts.
I'm running this setup. My Dakars are have broken in nicely. With a load in the back they are nice, but a bit harsh over bumps unloaded. But as somebody already mentioned... Who cares? :)

I could care less about a little harshness on the road. My truck is on the dirt more than the pavement anyway.

This is going to be my setup, extended travel in front, dakar/ext. length monotubes in the rear. I have a shell, so I think it'll be nice.

I don't know if this will help u out but here is the icon 2.5 coils fr/ icon 2.0 rear w/Dakar leafs aired down I get a slight rake. But aired up I'm pretty much leveled. Lots of room left in the coil overs to crank up if need be. So the extended travel might not be necessary. All up to you

Do you guys with the 2.0 resi's know the part number of your shocks by chance? I've seen a couple different part numbers that claim to be the right ones for the Dakar leafs.
