    Hey everyone,

My wife and I are 5 days out from a nearly 3,000 mile round trip so I was crawling around my truck inspecting things. I just came across something pretty startling. The bolt securing my ICON RXT leafs has been chewing on my gas tank when my suspension is articulated a certain way. It’s not a ton of damage, but it’s enough to make me uneasy about the trip.

I don’t know if I’d be able to get the tank replaced before we leave so I’m hoping that’s not necessary. Does anyone have opinions on how much damage this actually is?

Turn the bolt around, put the nut on the other side.
Put some jb weld on the plastic and roll on.

This. damage doesn’t look too bad. Sucks that it already happened, but JB weld it and don’t worry about it anymore.

it might not need to be said... but make sure you prep the area before applying the JB weld, sand the area smooth and clean with some water (alcohol if you have it).

He can just remove it for now. It won't cause any harm unless he plans on rock crawling it on the trip.
