I'm currently stock now and was considering going with the RXT and 5100 setup to deal with bed weight and improve some performance. Why did you feel like the 5100s needed to be replaced and did you ever change to something else?

The 5100s in the pic were of unknown mileage, that paired with a need of new bushings drove me to new shocks. That and the fact that the 5100s were obviously about two inches short with the axle droop.

I ended up with the 5125 shocks as they are almost 2 inches longer than the 5100s . I wanted to go with Fox shocks, but the guy I deal with said the Bilstien's would pair better and be a better feel combined with my Bilstien's up front.

option #2 super stoked. So happy to have a leaf pack that holds rake when loaded. Have about 2” rake now see if it settles not worried. Now I have room to add weight if needed. @tonered

so I found a set of deaver stage 2s (rated for 400- 600 lbs) and ended up canceling my rxts. They are perfect, I am about an inch higher in the rear with about 300lbs of weight with my fox 2.5 dscs. Loaded for camping I am leveled and have no sag.

Good to know. I'm still on stock TRDOR suspension. The Deavers were what was first suggested to me but would require upgrading shocks as well. I wasn't sure I wanted to drop that much cash at once, so it was suggested I look at the RXT leafs then upgrade the shocks if and when needed. Decisions decisions...

Definitely do one or the other, prior to my leaf upgrade I did have the icon add a leaf on and that would still not be sufficient enough for just the cap and some ply wood in my truck. So I’m sure your ass is struggling!

Should I be using option 2 or 3 on my RXT leaf springs with 450+ pounds weight in the bed? Hard shell tent (Skycamp 3.0) mounted on Diamondback HD tonneau cover, tool box, gear and a hitch mounted carrier with 2 mountain bikes. Running Bilstein 6112 set at max height up front so I would like the rear to be close to that when loaded.

It’s worth noting that I don’t drive with the RTT all the time and same with the hitch mounted bikes. ICON advertises option 3 giving 2.625” of lift when unloaded so I’m just thinking about how much more rake that will be as the front is only lifted 2”. Shouldn’t be too bad as the HD tonneau cover weights 115lbs and I do have a 34” spare in the bed as well so that is still 200+ lbs of constant weight. Regardless I think #3 would be my best bet. Hopefully the ride isn’t too harsh when unloaded at #3.

I'm on option 2... installer had these parts taped to removed leaf springs. Assuming all these parts are for option 3, where do the plates go?

The plate are needed between the leaf, if you add the leaf for the option 3 (8 leaf total) you will need to put the plate between the leaf

Doing the install now... is there an orientation for a certain end of the pack that goes towards the front? Looks symmetrical to me but thought id ask before I went back at it.. thx!

Anyone know if its possible to overtigjten the upper shackle bolt? I got the front bolt torqued to 89lb but my torque wrench won’t click at 89lb for the rear upper shackle bolt. Haven’t dropped it yet to torque the u-bolts and lower shackle bolt… should I have torqued the upper bolt after I drop off the jacks? It seems like the end of the bolt out of the nut is sticking out too far compared to the oem drivers side that I havent disassembled yet…

Install went well minus the long bolt thing. Idk if my torque wrench is a pos or what else could be wrong. I am on the oem 4130’s still and installing the 5160’s next week when they arrive… Test drove it and it makes an odd noise when going over certain bumps… probably bc of the 4130’s… we’ll see next week. Still gotta let everything settle… Already rides better. 6112’s go on after some sleep
