Sounds like mine are already squeaking with like 1,000km on them (even before going offroad) so going to have to talk to the shop I guess?

Yeah I will just see what the shop says, I don't know enough to go messing around on my own. Although it does sound like more of a groaning than a squeaking lol. Very annoying though!

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.

    Will do.

The backend is buttery smooth now. I currently have my Sway bar off, and honestly now it's a bit too much. I'll probably put it back on, the rear is really floaty.

That said, bumps are significantly better. I love it.

Any issues with those ‘newer’ style pro wheels? What are specs and are those from the 4Runner or Tacoma pro?

I’ve been thinking of changing up my wheels. I like the look of those.

Nah they work great. They are pro rims off a 4runner, for proper backspacing etc.

The only "issue" is that you need to flare the rear hub slightly for them to fit properly, on some applications. 4runner drum hubs are have a lip that's tapered, Tacomas aren't tapered. So you just give it a bit of taper and it fits perfect. It has no function.

I love the way they look, and I'm able to fit 285s.

You know if they are the same specs as the older 4Runner pro?
    17x7 +4mm?

They do look great. My wife may be peeved if I bought the newer version of her wheels though

what do you lube with, and where? I did the inner tube method when building the packs, I have fluid filmed them, I have done the silicone spray. They are super creaky.

I used Shell Gadus S3 V220C-2 because that's what my work's maintenance shop had. They gave me what was left in a tube out of the grease gun and it was more than enough. A little bit goes a very long way. I spread a thin layer along the full length of the leaf. I used my finger to spread the grease and wiped off any excess that squeezed out when assembled. I also did 8" pieces of inner tube during build and fluid filmed soon after install. It's mud season here now and I drive a 1/2 mile down a rutted clayey dirt road to get home and so far, all quiet.

Also check the shackles. It might be coming for there and not the leaf pack.

Dang! Sounds like you are doing things right. Except isn’t silicone spray for plastics and the like?

I’m not sure why mine don’t squeak given the use the have had and condition… I just use these sprays depending on the need. I don’t even have bike tubes in either. I honestly haven’t sprayed in a while.

I did paint the leafs a little before I installed, but don’t think that makes a diff.

maybe you could go drive a desert trail where you can’t really hit anything and break it in…could just be the trick

i’ve been using the silicone spray on the bushings, which is what it says that it’s meant for! I really don’t know if it’s the bushings on the shackles or the leafs themselves. I will give those products a try though, and maybe try prying open the leafs and putting grease on the pads.

I forgot to mention I do have Dobinsons greasable bolts in the shackles. That may have something to do with it too…you can see the rubber zerc covers in my second pic above

Tell me more about these bolts good sir.

I assume you’re referring to these guys below? Are you running them front and rear or just on the shackle end? Looks kinda like you have them in both the upper and lower shackle bolts, is that correct?
