Did you drill out the bushing sleeve so grease gets to the bushing? Otherwise its just greasing between the bolt and sleeve and not the actual bushing.

That would have required logic :anonymous:

Can’t say I recall seeing that mentioned in the directions either though.

No harm in adding pads. I think there is an upper leaf end on the rxt that could use one too. I didnt add any to mine, but if i ever were to pull it apart again then i might.

Yes i think the upper leaf and both bottoms, when i tackle going to option 1 i will likely drill some holes and have them on each leaf. Measured yesterday with an empty bed, bag of tools, and a topper so 2-300lbs. I am 22'' front and 24 3/4'' hub to center hoping to loose 1-1.25 going to option 1.

rxt leafs have rubber bushings so you dont and cant grease them. no moving parts so unless the bushing has actually failed then there should be no noise from them. super common to incorrectly install them as all the bolts have to be tightened AFTER the truck is sat back on the ground and suspension settled. if tightened at full droop you will damage the bushings.

Install was completed correctly. Torqued everything to spec AFTER truck was lowered. Thanks

Are you sure that you are not sitting at level 3? Stock is around 22" for a 3rd gen.

24 3/4" is closer to the 2.6" that RXT advertises at level 3 unloaded. BTW RXT will come down over time too.

All of the RXT's are shipped at level one. You take the 3rd leaf out and add the extra leaf in its place for level 2.

For level 3, you keep all of the leafs and add the extra leaf into the pack.

100% i got the packs new, swapped the leaf to put it to option 2 and my extra leaf with longer center bolt and hangers are sitting in my garage. I have had it them on for almost 2 years 15-20k and have always had 3-500lbs at all times, a few loaded to 7-1000lbs. It has dropped and settled since new but maybe 1/2'', i also have a 2.5 degree shim under the packs to deal with any vibration issues. That likely adds a little height but from what ive seen the access cab gets more lift from this pack vs the double cab. This picture has 5-600lbs in the bed option 2 with 5125's in the rear and 5100's at 1.1 in the front. Truck rides great, no noises, no vibrations, been very happy honestly hate to touch it but i was hoping it would have settled more.

I have seen a few other pictures of your truck loaded with a quad or ski and it seems to hold the weight pretty good even being on option 1. Its what 100-150lbs difference between a AC and a DCSB, the AC gets more added lift than i would expect for the minor weight difference. Looks like youve since done a tire upgrade and cut the front fender looks beefy, being a 4 banger and an auto i need to be wise about tire size. Truck drives great with the 235/85/16s, re geared, lifted, and added weight plus decent mileage still 23-25 at 70. I would love a bigger tire to make it "look" better with option 2 but do not want to slow the truck down even more.

Anyone install this coming from the Icon AAL with the overload spring installed. On paper stage 2 will get me the closest to what I currently have but interested if anyone has more details.

I did. AAL w/overload ended up sagging a bunch when I put a bunch of gear in the back. Went with Stage 2, stance was the same and very little to no sag.

I also have an RSI shell, and full armor (all skids and sliders).

Great thank you. Do you recall if the leaf pack is set for stage 2 when it ships?

It is not. It’s set to stage 1 and you can install stage 2 or 3 if you want.

Loving is so far. Rode great with the rtt on. Took it off for the season, we’re just too busy to get out this year, and still rides great but the extra weight is better. Might end up getting a decked system for more all the time weight.

Will be installing the RXT leafs this week along with 5100s. I have a 3rd gen dclb with snugtop, thule racks and plywood platform as constant weight (guessing ~300lbs). Hoping to achieve about a 1.5” lift using option 2, although reading through this thread maybe their graphic is not all that accurate? Hoping for some insight (and pics). Thanks

Anyone else with a shell and 1.5” lift?
