Received my RXTs from Wheelers. Planning on going with option 2. I roughly have 330lbs of constant weight with my Diamondback cover, uptop rack, and RTT.

Just got my RXTs today. Prob install them this weekend if my bump stops come in.

Question- I noticed that the bushings are already installed. Does anyone try to pop them out to grease them in order to prevent squeaking? I’ve seen some install videos of other brands where they come without the bushing installed and they’re greased before installing. I’d just like to avoid having to pull them off down the road for this reason.

    Thanks!

    Jim

Some of this Some of that
Are they rubber bushings or poly bushings? I was under the impression rxts came with non greaseable rubber bushings

Good point. I did not consider this. I believe they are rubber.

    That would make sense!

Just threw my RXT's option 3 on with no shims and didn't install the carrier bearing drop kit from OME. I have no driveline vibes that I can tell. Is there any reason to still install the bearing drop kit? I already purchased one.

Nope you are one of the lucky ones. Keep the kit though incase you get some vibes after the RXTs settle.

Need some help deciding option 2 vs 3 for my DCSB. There will be 250-275 lbs. in the bed at all times from bed rack, tonneau cover, bed mat, and my weekly work gear. RTT will only go on during trips because I won't be able to get in and out of my tiny ass garage with the tent attached after the new suspension.

How much lift up front and are you going for level or a rake in back?

3 inches up front and I'd like some rake in the rear. 5100s all around.

My truck (picture in prior post) has a 2" lift front and the rxt leafs are option 2. The front hub to fender is 22" front and the rear is 24 3/8"... that's with the canopy/bed mat and around 150 lbs of tools etc in the back. With 200 lbs of sandbags it dropped the ass end around 1/2". Hope that helped.

That does help, thank you. How much weight is your canopy?

It's a SnugTop... maybe around 200lbs? Right now my front to rear difference is 2 3/8" but hoping once things settle it will go down a bit (i think factory rake is around 1 3/4".) Our numbers might be different... (2nd gen to 3rd.)

Interesting how the majority of this thread decides to go with option 2 or 3. I have 150-200 lbs. in the bed and am super happy with option 1. The soft ride is exactly what I was looking for.

How much lift are you seeing with that kind of weight?

I am also on option 1. The ride is very nice unless you put over 300lbs in the bed. Then it’s starts bouncing off the bumps a lot.

I contemplated option 2 but I’m not sure if I want to go that route yet.

I have about 2” in the front and don’t want to crank them anymore if I go to option 2

Probably 2" front and rear. Installed 3 suspension kits over the past couple of years and have no idea what exact lift is now. I figured if I went with Kings front and rear, Hammer Hanger in the rear, and Icon RXT, last thing I would want is to stiffen up the rear going option 2. I don't haul heavy loads, mostly just going out camping and what not
