Huh, that's a double cap long bed they have there, I wonder if that makes a difference.

the instructions say to swap out the leaf when its on the axle, is that really better than doing the swap before you start the install?

I did this as well and fit my 285/70R17 under the bed with no issues. Post detailing the mod here towards the end of this post: Hodakaguy's Overland Tacoma Builds - on to new adventures. | Page 5 | Tacoma World

Also randomly some time last week my leaf pack settled another 1/2" so I was able to lower the front down a bit to keep the rake I like. I suspect the heatwave Phoenix had last week helped. Doesn't seem to be riding much different than before but looks better now.

Yep. While heavier, I am not 100% sure how much it matters? I also do not know for sure if there are different part numbers for different configs.

I have a light ACLB. Option 1 put me up about 3.0in over the sagged out stock leafs and settled about 1/4in. I think I was sagging about 1.5in with 200lb in the back. So, a 1.5in lift with a bit of load?

I suppose that you could, but I think working on a bench would be easier. No matter what, you are releasing all load on the leafs to swap stuff around.

Just that most trucks are either a dcsb or an aclb, which are similar in weight with the dcsb being little heavier. I wonder if they tested it with the more common truck sizes.

How hot was it? I think it topped out at about 106F when I was there for a week post install last August. Hahaha!

As noted on Option 1, I seemed to have sagged only 1/4in from my measure right after the installation. Retorquing the U bolts seems to have changed it a little bit.

Possibly? The pics might just be for representative purposes.

I have general confidence in their numbers, as well as what Bilstein notes for the 5100 fronts.

Ya I was thinking the bench would be way easier than under the truck. Was just wondering if there was some weird reason they wanted it done that way.

The only thing that I can think of is that the stuff will stay somewhat organized if it is vertical. On its side, getting everything lined up might be a bit harder to line up? In the end, it is all about that centering bolt until it is connected to the perches and axle.

96 was the highest I saw last week. 106 in August is a nice day lol.

They appear to be decently accurate however, I have a very similar setup to the third option truck, but I question how that's 600 lbs. They might not be saying that setup is 600 but just stating what the height would be at 600? Not sure. My tent alone is 100lbs dry weight with the relentless rack at approx 80lbs. Rotopax (full) at probably less than 70lbs total. That doesn't add up to 600lbs.

My overall recommendation would be for anyone who isn't running a constant bed rack AND RTT would be to go with option 2. Option 3 adds significant height and will probably cause some serious rake to anyone who doesn't have a constant significant load (lol).

Agreed. Likely they put the remainder in the bed? Just a pictorial demo.

Option#2 DCLB OVER HERE 2” up front and have about 2” of rake with 100lbs constant. When loaded camp gear have about 1.5” of rake loving it. VERY accurate for me gives me room to add weight if needed
