The shocks he posted are what it sounds like you're talking about, but theyre like $1300. They're 2.5" diameter 0-1.5" lift application Fox shocks with DSC adjusters.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with needing to spend big bucks with fox to get the best quality, that's more like King with their pure race line. An ADS is more akin to a King, since they're basically the same design, but I definitely wouldn't put ADS/King/Bilstein on a HIGHER level than Fox...especially when you include the DSC adjuster. Measurable tech specs say otherwise....

Let’s say you go down a steep driveway and turn sharp at the bottom. Or you do a mild Offroad trail and flex out the rear with the RXT in option 1, or option 2, or option 3. All scenarios, shocks under 27-28ish inches long will top out (with the stock shock mounting points).

Stock leafs with AALs using stock or sim length “23-24”) shocks will never top out because the spring pack will not flex that far, unless you’ve removed the spring retainers or whatever you call them... clamps maybe?

As far as brake lines go, if you keep shocks that are stock length, your brake lines are fine. Any shock longer with the RXT will require longer brake lines. Don’t do the long shocks before brake lines. Also note you can install the extended lines at stock height in preparation for the lift and be just fine in meanwhile.

Those sound accurate, but that price seems weird. Anything lower than the high end Fox shocks and the build quality and finish, diminish.

The DSC adjuster is where it’s at for Fox. I didn’t see that part of his post

The fox performance 2.0 stuff vs Factory 2.5 is the same as other manufacturers. Fox, king and bilstein all have different levels, priced roughly similar at each level. ADS/Radflo just have the upper level though. I had fox 2.0s and quality wasn't bad, it's just a different intended purpose, and price point, similar to your average replacement Bilstein or something. https://accutuneoffroad.com/product...5-series-remote-reservoir-8-4-0-1-5-lift-dsc/

I’m sure the 2.0 shocks are better than the OMEmu I use to have

Radflo is on point with ADS. I went with them because I could get a better deal. I came from fox on my previous build and icon before that. Neither impressed me. Plus, fox rusted too quick. ADS and radflo have the best corrision resistance.

@christyle @charlieyankee88 how difficult is it to install a flip kit/bumps to a leaf pack while it’s on the truck. Thinking of putting Icon RXTs on my truck today and next month getting a flip kit. If it a pain in the ass I’ll wait until I have the flip kit/bumps.

I can’t really think of a reason it would be difficult. You might need to use a floor jack to push up on the axel a bit to get u-bolts back on. I am thinking when you unbolt one side the leafs that are still attached to the other side of the axel my push the unbolted side down. Other than that I can’t really think of any issues with doing it that way.

I did my @ARCHIVE flip kit easily without undoing much other than tires to get in there. When the truck is supported by the axle with jackstands, the weight of the truck keeps the springs on the spring perches and you just swap the plates/bolts and chop down the U-bolts (leave yourself an inch above the nuts for a degree shim or other things you didnt plan for later)

Does the archive flip bolt actually change the height of the truck or is it more about clearance without changing the height?

For those wondering this is option 3 for the icon RXts paired with Bilstein bypass 8100s and 6112 6/5 clip for 2” lift with slimline bumper and mobtown rock sliders.

About 225-250lbs in the rear including bumper and tools and other BS in the bed. RXTs don’t squeak and have no issues for the past year I have no shims and no diff drops of any sort and no vibes. Ecgs mod was done.

My understanding is that it prevents bottoming out on the shocks, and it supposedly increases ground clearance slightly as well.

A U-bolt flip kit is only going to increase ground clearance/reduce snag. @ARCHIVE makes a shackle flip kit which will do more of what you’re referring to, not sure if that was what you meant or not.

They allow a few options for bumpstops, with and without spacers/etc. to work with different setups. When you do a flip, you sort of have to change the bumpstops, or find another way to attach the stock ones.

Mine have only been on the truck for a few days, but they're still holding steady at +2" in the rear with unloaded Option 1.
