2nd gen here... I just went with the RXT 2.5 RR shocks to match up with the RXT leaf pack. Here's option 2 with around 250 lbs of weight.

Well either way i go i can add or remove the leaf depending on how much lift i want. I’ll probably go option 2. I dont want too much rake and im planning around 2 inch lift in the front so if the rear settles too much i can add the leaf in. I would get the 2.5 rxt shocks but thats out of my budget and my suspension plans are already overkill for how I use my truck

Yeah if you are looking for a 2 inch lift option 2 maybe better. I was aiming for around 2.5-2.75 with mine. I felt the same about the 2.5 rxt shocks. Would love those but i was already going outside my lift budget as it was.

Yeah the soft budget is already going to be exceeded. Still didn't figure out what to do for the front. Was looking at bilstein 6112s but i kinda want the fox or elka 2.5s

that last picture... i take it you have extended break lines?
After taking some of the weight off the back end I wonder if you could seperate each leaf just enough to get grease in between using a bottle jack?

Yep i got extended brake lines installed with the lift. Yeah the droop and flex impressed me too for mid travel. I did go with the icon 2.0 (56515) made for 1.5-3 inch lifts which also probably help a little. That is a great suggestion on jacking it up to get better access in between leaves. Im gonna try that. Thanks!

In the process of assembling my pack to option 3 and have added leaf liners in between each spring. I’ve tightened the center bolt in the pack, but am concerned that there’s not enough teeth showing on the bolt — the nut sits flush with the end of the bolt. Is this fine, or should I remove some liners to decrease the added thickness (0.4”)?

    edit

Removed two of the liners from the bottom of the pack and it’s now showing 2 threads. I’m good with it!

Mine came with a slightly longer bolt I would assume for when you do option 3. I did option 3, but also added a 3 degree shim with even longer center bolt (From Toytec Lifts). It was actually too long and I had to cut off some to make the bump stop fit.

I'm not an engineer, but in my thinking, that bolt is more for alignment and holding the pack together until install. Once the pack is clamped with the u-bolts, there should not be as much pressure on the center bolt.

Edit: I just looked up Leaf Liners. I thought you meant the metal shims. I can see leaf liners making it too thick.

I installed a lift for my buddy. Icon RXT level 1 paired with 5160's in back. 6112's at 6/5 in front. 285/70/17 Goodyear UT. I really like the way it turned out and how it drives.IMG_20220610_155152744.jpg IMG_20220610_205127.jpg

how silly would the rake be on option 3 if i only have an RTT, spare, and maybe 150 lbs of camp gear.

You think the rake would be too much on option 3 for RTT, spare, and 150 lbs of gear?

How much lift up front? How much does your RTT weigh?

I think option 3 would be a good choice.
