Here’s the truck now on option 3.

    upload_2022-6-13_14-16-14.jpg

    Before:

    upload_2022-6-13_14-29-14.jpg

Paired it with 6112 (@ 1” lift setting)/5160s. Gained about 3” from the RXTs with a constant load of about 500 lbs of gear in the rear (Leer canopy, Decked system, tools, recovery gear, and rack).

I suspect it’ll settle another 1”, especially when I have my RTT on, leading to my desired rake.

Installed the OME/ARB carrier bearing drop and there’s been no vibrations.

Prior to lift, I was riding on my sumo springs with all the weight in the back. Here it is now

Those pics look so familiar. Completely wild guess that you were from WA before looking at your profile. Hahaha!

No pics, but here is my situation that may help you guys.

I have about 200 lbs of constant added weight, with a Hi-lift, bed mat, Traction boards, Softopper, Uptop Truss Rack and 33" spare. I already had sliders installed, so I don't count that weight. I also have the TRD factory lift which adds 2 inches over stock in the front. (Similar to 5100 with factory coils maybe?) I swapped the OEM rear leafs and 1 inch spacer block (from TRD lift) with Icons at option 3, 3 degree shim from Toytec, u-bolt flip kit and Duro bumps.

I ended up at 38" ground to fender in the front and 40 1/2" in the rear (on 285/70R17 Wildpeaks). That's a lot of rake, but I pack really heavy for trips with a RTT, 270 awning and way too much camp gear, water, wood, etc. Before the Icons and other changes, fully loaded, I hit the factory bumps hard all the time. After the icons and duro bumps, and fully loaded for camping, I still hit the bumps sometimes, but the impact is much softer and not nearly as often. I haven't measured the height fully loaded, but it still visually looks like it has some rake.

I was also pleasantly surprised that the ride seems smoother than OEM, at option 3 with my standard 200 lb load.

Just got my leafs. One came with a bag of extra stuff that was ripped and missing some things, the other came with no bag of extra stuff. Do you need the longer clip and center bolt for option 3?

Yes you do. I think each spring has only the parts it needs for option 3. So both springs should have spare parts bags attached. Mine came that way.

If you reach out to Icon directly they are usually pretty good about getting replacements parts bags out when we have customers who lose them during shipping. We haven't had to pay for one yet.

I either didn't get all my parts or lost them, but Icon shipped some out within a week of me contacting them via email. It was about $22 for a whole side (spacer, bolt, bracket) of parts of I remember correctly. Does not include shipping.

Be sure to send them a picture of the bag ripped open and all the parts you did receive and that may help from getting charged as well.

Gonna throw on some Icon RXTs this weekend. Should I spray them down with something to help against rust and squeaking before the install? Any recommendations?

Make sure you grease the plastic spacers between the leaves. I missed that step and they squeak right away.

Do you have to take apart the leaf pack to do that?

If you are doing option 1, like it comes, it is already greased. Otherwise, you have to take it apart to go to option 2 or 3. Somewhere I read that you may be able to pry them apart with a big screwdriver and inject grease with a needle tip. I am going to give that a try.

I used goo gone to tackle the shipping adhesive and labels, then wiped thoroughly with degreaser wipes. I lightly sanded the leaves since the powder coat is not an even finish then spray painted a few coats of automotive black. I put leaf liners from speedway.com in between all of my leaves. Had 0 issues while I was on option 1 for ~1.6 years and haven't noticed anything yet with a recent switch to option 2.
