My mechanic (he had no skin in the game by the way on he product being sold, I only paid him for his time and knowledge on the install as I bought my suspension mainly thru HotShot Offroad) strongly suggested I get rear shock with the external reservoir if I was going to be offroading. He said even on just washboarded trails and added weight in the back, the rear shocks take a huge hit from the heat buildup. I went with Bilstein 5160s in the back.

Yes for sure. I have a 2021 DCLB 4x4 Offroad. The stock suspension was fine on road but offroad they were very bouncy even on easy trails. Even on small obstacles I'd have to wait 3-5 seconds after a small impact to let the suspension settle down. It was very jarring.

The Bilsteins are night and day different. Still great onroad but offroad they really shine. Very smooth by comparison. 6112s up front but I went with the 650# springs instead of the 600# the come with because I didn't get the lift I was expecting with the 600. Then the 5160s in the rear with Icon RXT option 2.

    Totally different truck vs. stock.

I am new to this stuff and honestly I just expected a lift with maybe a slightly better ride, but it was way more than that.

Taking my sway off was one of the most noticeable improvements of ride and handling. The eibachs coilovers do ride quite nice and it feels like the sway bar was limiting their travel. It's so much better than when I first put them on. The bilstien 5160 or the new eibachs with resis were the two I had my eyes on. In fact goingvwith the bilstien 6112 was going to be my front option but I randomly found the eibachs on sale and grabbed them instead

I’m gonna need that contact information lol, I’m having the same exact problems with my RXTs and haven’t heard back from Icon in almost 2 months even with another support request.

Jeanette Judd is the person who was in contact with me.

But it was just from the typical support email address.

Screenshot_20230710_214112_Photos~2.jpg Just installed a set on my 2013 DC. Gained 3.5" total on level 3. I'm guessing they will settle to 3". Overall I am very happy with the ride quality. I have a topper, full size (33") spare and a few other things in the bed. Right after install 39" is my ground to fender height and 24 3/8" is the wheel center to fender. Actually I'm 39" at all 4 corners and my steps show level. Hopefully I dont get to much settling in the rear.

For reference the truck has a RC 3" kit done by the previous owner. This kit uses 2" lift blocks in the rear. Rear blocks were removed with the old springs in exchange for these Icon's. When taking final measurements I noticed a 1/4" or so gain in the front and have noticeably less rubbing at full lock. This will probably change once the springs settle in but I was happy to see the end results after getting rid of the sagging factory springs and 2" blocks.

For anyone installing these they arn't clearely marked front or rear. Military wrap goes to the front and if your adding the 3rd leaf. The side that's longer goes to the front. Mine came with ID stampings and all stampings went to the rear. I was able to reconnect my e brake cables to the new springs by drilling the holes in the bracket slightly larger and bending them a bit. I also added a spacer under my brake lines as at full drop with the RC rear shocks they were being stretched.

Can you post pics of the added spacer under your brake lines. Curious to see how you prevent them from stretching

I read somewhere that Icon uses the same size rubber bushings as our factory leaf spring bushings. They have the same eyelet size. I’m wondering if these polyurethane bushings will work as replacements. I read this entire forum and constantly read about squeaky bushings. Energy suspension makes these. Anyone have insight?

I've been doing some research since my bushings on my RXTs are shot after less than a year and I have heard the bushings are the same as OEM size but haven't heard anything from Icon to confirm. I believe the shackle side bushings can be swapped out but as far as the front cab facing I've heard that they aren't designed to be removed and replaced. I'd definitely like to hear more if anyone has swapped the front eye bushings.

Here’s my front bushing part number. It matches OEM bushing part number

I really love the ride quality of these leaf springs but the squeak is so loud after less than a year and some of the rubber bushings have torn so that’s also a big cause of the noise im pretty sure. Hoping to get in contact with Icon but haven’t had any luck yet but if I do decide to go with the RXTs again I’ll definitely be adding these between all the leafs. Just have to figure out how to put them between the top leaf that doesn’t have a hole for them.

Before and after pics. I measured 22” from center of hub to fender on both sides with my All Pro 3” standard leafs and Archive Garage Hammer Hangers. I now measure 24.5” pass, 24.25” driver with the RXT set up to option #3 and Rago Hangers. My front remains the same at 21.5” so I need to raise it up at least 2”. I want to have a bit of rake.

The ride quality has greatly improved! I used to ride on my Timbren bumpstops and now I have a good 2.5” of space between the bumpstops and frame. Everything feels smoother and tighter/sharper. Not as much body roll too. I don’t have my front sway bar installed so the stiffer leafs help.

Just curious, why did you flip from the archive garage hangers to the rago hangers?

I was using the factory shackle with the Archive Garage hanger. It was cheaper for me to buy the Rago kit then it was to upgrade to just the shackle. I wanted a greaseable shackle

Makes total sense, I kept going back and forth between your pictures and thought it looked like the factory shackle but I also have never seen Archive Garages hangers in person to confirm. Was the Rago install fairly straight forward and do they offer a cross bar to add some rigidity?

The Rago install was easy because I already did the hard part when I installed the Archive Garage hangers. It just bolted right up. But Had I started with the factory hanger, that’s quite the install and takes a long time. The factory hanger needs to be cut off, rivets need to be punched out then the holes need to be enlarged. Both after market hangers require the rivet holes to be enlarged because they use larger bolts

    Too much to list
Check your U bolts. Might have been squeaking, I tried greasing them, cleaning them, they have pads inbetween, etc but nothing helped... Until I torqued them to 90 ft lbs.

Didn’t know what to do with the brake guides. Tried to weld them on and that was a fail. Ended up drilling a hole and bolting them on
