Handy info in this thread. I’m going to have to settle soon on some leafs and am between the RXT’s on option 3 or Deavers U402 Stage 2. I think Deavers will be the jackpot.

I have about 550lb (Camper shell, custom drawers, tent) of constant weight in the back and am looking to settle at 2” lift over stock.

I just ordered the fox 2.5 remote reservoir with the deavers j66. But after ordering and speaking with a rep at deavers he suggested the U402 stage 1’s for my application.

They noted that the j66’s were only good if you didn’t really plan on having any load. So after that conversation he stated the stage 1’s would be good for ride and light towing.

Anyone here runng the fox 2.5 remote reservoir dsc in the rear? How do you like them?

I will be upgrading the front end once I recoup money from the rear. Thanks

I will take pictures throughout. There’s a 8wk backup on the shocks so it may be a few months.

    add-ons will include:
deavers U402 stage 1 leaf springs
Fox 2.5 remote reservoir rear shocks
    Achieve garage hammer hangers

I've got the Fox 2.5's with DSC and ICON pack in the default config. Not option 2 or 3. Out of the box the shocks were too stiff, front and rear. Meaning, I had the adjusters all the way soft on high and low speed compression and was getting beat up on the freeways. I gave them to Acutune to soften them up a bit. Now they feel pretty amazing on the highway. When I go off road (desert) I'm dialing in 2-3 clicks in the rear and one click in the front on high speed compression. Feels amazing. Depends on how fast you want to go.

Thank you for insight! I actually ordered mine through acutune so I’m hoping after talking with them things come ready to rock!

good looking truck by the way.

Any new updates here? Just ordered 2.5 with DSC and have yet to decide on rXT or Deaver U402.

Does anyone have experience with installing RXT Option 2 on a stock 2019 TRD Pro suspension? I carry about 300 lbs in the bed consistently and would like to get some rake back, at least back to stock empty bed height. Any concerns with running RXT with Stock Pro suspension? I dont do any rock crawling or wheeling.

I have Deaver 402 stage ones with Bilstein 5100s in the rear. I carry probably 200 pounds max constant load. It is smooth and easy compared to the stock suspension I had on my 2020. When I upgrade I will go to the 5160s in the rear.

IMO, I wouldn’t recommend the 5160’s. They are valved too soft and really not worth the money if you already have 5100’s. Best bet would be to relocate the shock mounts and do a 14” short body 7100 like @Chadr7858 did.

Thanks for the update, I'm looking to go with the Deaver U402 but debating stage 1 or 2 based on my weights. I have a camper shell / custom drawers/ camping gear and going to add sliders next. Shocks I already have 6112/5160 combo, probably will do SPC UCAs and ECGS when lifting the front, and assuming I'll go mid-travel somewhere down the road.

Does anyone that is running the stage 1 notice how far it sags when you add more weight? For example at 200lbs load it should maintain the 2" lift; how much sag at say 400, 500, 600 (approx)? Originally I was leaning stage 2 but this thread gives me reason to think stage 1 might be my personal sweet spot.

    Thanks!

I agree with this, however I will say while my 5160s do seem to ride soft (subjectively), it isn't something I mind. With my shell/drawers weight estimated 300lbs give or take it rides quite nicely. Stiffer wouldn't be bad to feel a bit sportier and less floaty but it's really splitting hairs. I like them until I can afford midtravel.

Have had both and heavily favor the Deavers. The metal they use is just quality. Just beware that even a stage 2 may be an overkill if you don't carry constant weight.

Just had icon rxt pack installed at level 1. I have a ‘18 Pro and it always looked to me a bit low in the back. When measuring my Pro against non pro Tacoma versions in my neighborhood it appeared that my stock front end (measured at the front wheel) was about 1 in higher than the non Pro models, and the rear end (again measured at a wheel) was the same as non pro models. This might account for me believing the rear end looked low. Just got the truck back and level 1 has raised the rear (at the tire) by 1.75 in. I like the look better and I’m assuming that those times when I have my RTT and camping/hunting gear it will handle the load better. Time will tell, but I’m liking the look much better.

Just curious if the 1.75" at level 1 is without any weight? I have a snug top shell and debating on going with level 2... with the extra weight of the shell i think it will drop a 1/2" getting me from the 2.25" of level 2 to around 1.75" of lift.
