So I am currently running the factory Bilsteins on my 2013 Baja. I have added the Toytec spring seat spacer up front for a total of 3” lift, and the Icon AAL in the rear. Tires are 285/70/17. Truck sits nice, but front seams to be sagging a bit, and I’d like to lift a little more. Not possible with the current setup.

I came across this guy selling Icon stage 2 shocks, and I can pick them up for $850. My question is, should I do it? From everything I’ve read Icons are an awesome setup. He says they have less than 30k on them, and never off road. I’m sure I can sell my stock Baja shocks for $500-$800 to someone.

Please post opinions and let me know if this upgrade is worth it, for added lift and ride quality.

price looks to be pretty good and the parts look nice. since you can recover most/all of the purchase price by selling your current setup i would say do it.

i run the same setup and have no complaints about performance. flying, der, floating over washboard roads doesn't get old.

the idea that they are 'rebuildable' may be a misnomer. i had mine rebuilt just over a year ago and the rears have a small leak at the bottom of the shock. finding someone to do the work is a pain and expensive if you do not know how to rebuild yourself. i thought i would buy these and rebuild 2-3 times and keep them a long time. of course, when i purchased Icon was doing rebuilds theyselves but they jumped off that ship. this kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

if you buy make sure you notch out the rear shock mount as it can rub against the line to the remove reservoir leading to breakage.
