I have a Tacoma TRD Pro ordered. It will be here Jan 25th. I’m replacing the Fox Suspension as I want more lift and I’m not doing spacers on a Pro. I already have a buyer for the Fox suspension.

My question is which UCA should I go with. Are the Delta Joint UCA’s good or do I need to get the Billet UCA’s?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Save the money on the UCA’s and put that towards a full leaf pack rather than the AAL in the kit.

Your money is probably better spent on a kit with the full RXT leaf pack as mentioned above.

The only benefits of the billet UCA’s are weight and strength. You won’t notice the weight difference at all and you probably wouldn’t need the additional strength of the billet UCA’s unless you’re taking some big hits.

Icon has some good non shock stuff but as far as shocks there are better options: Ads, King, and Fox. I've gone from Fox to Icon to Ads and I would say Ads>Fox>Icon that's just my experience.
And I have the tube Delta Joint UCAs and they work great and don't squeak like uniballs.

go with the delta joint tubular UCAs, and see if headstrong will allow you to order the full RXT pack instead of the add-a-leaf option, for an increased charge. They were able to help me out with the same request on their king stage 2 package.

Awesome! I’ll ask them. I would definitely rather have the full pack.

Which one of these kits would you suggest? With or without UCA’s? If with, which ADD UCA’s would you recommend? I want to do this right. Thanks for you input and help.

What are you trying to achieve?

I ran Icon on my 80 series and could not stand them. One of the worst automotive purchases I've ever made. I've used King and Dobinsons and would rate them higher on the food chain. Never run ADS so I couldn't comment on them. Never run Fox either.

I would order a King kit, but they are out of stock. I want an excellent 3” lift and UCA’s that will enhance my trucks performance. I want the same amount of lift that the TRD Pro Fox suspension and a 2” spacer would provide.

What type of performance? What type of offroading do you do?

My son was able to get kings for his 2nd gen Christmas week. The rears were the only thing he'll have to wait for (mid January).

What I have and I'm hard on my sh*t is ADS 650lb. extendeded travel 2.5" coilovers with resisies Durobumb bumbstops, and tubular Icon UCAs for the front and ADS piggybacks, Durobumps, and Icon AAL with overload spring deleted (should have got the RXT pack). I would say the sweet spot for a 3rd gen is 650lb coilovers ADS, Fox, or King ( I have not tried Kings just from their repuation)
I would definetly go with Delta tubular UCAs and extendeded travel coilovers so you can get that extra 1/2" of travel. I can thank TW for all this info cause it can be technical. And a cab mount chop usually has to happen.
