I tried the magical search function with no luck.

I am starting the process of research on my ICON lift. I have scowered there website and cannot figure out the difference between stage 4 - 7. I also cannot determine the differnece between the Billet control arms and the tubular. Please help me figure out which kit will suit my needs.

    Thanks,

    FWH

Billet control arms are a waste of money for a MT setup IMO.

    Stage 4

    Stage 7

    Stage 4 System Contents:
    58450/58550 - Tubular/Billet Upper Control Kit
58735 - Extended Travel Remote Reservoir Coil-over Shock Kit
    51100 - 1.5" Lift Rear Add a Leaf Kit
    56503R x 2 - ICON Series Rear Reservoir Shocks

    Stage 7 System Contents:

58550/58450 - Billet Upper Control Arm or Tubular Upper Control Arm
58735C - Extended Travel Remote Reservoir Coil-over Shock Kit with CDCV
    51100 - 1.5" Lift Rear Add a Leaf Kit
59905 - 2.5" Diameter Rear Omega Bypass Shocks

Differences are front c/o's have compression adjusters, and rear shocks are different. I googled this info in 5 min.

What kind of wheeling (if any) are you planning on doing? What is your budget? Why Icon and not toytec or OME?

    Some stuff...
I wheel my rig pretty hard and am so far very happy with my Icon setup. But if I wasn't going to do any wheelin, I damn sure wouldn't have dropped several grand on a lift setup for aesthetics!

    Getting there...
Remote resis allow more oil and therefore less chance of shock fade and heat dissipation. Larger diameter rear shocks are for the same reason. Compression adjusters allow the user to adjust the compression of the shocks on the fly for different valving/shock response. As far as billet UCAs, I'm not too well versed on what makes them better than tubular, but a big part is the bling factor when it comes to the Icon billet UCAs. Shiny silver as opposed to black or grey that most other UCAs come in lol.

Awesome thank you. I do plan on wheeling the truck, why is that even in question HAHA. I am not one to spend $3000+ just for looks. I currently am set up with, stock OR spring, Billy's 5100 and wheelers offroad progressive AAL. 1.5" all the way around. I hate the way it rides. Plus I am going to add 33" once my tires are due.

Based on my review I think ICON has the best MT setup for the money. I dont want an OME, no reason why other than the fact that I rode in a 1st Gen Taco with icon stage 4 and fell in love.

I plan on stage 4 or 5 with Tubular control arms. I will drop the AAL in favor of a full spring pack(probably OME Dakar)

Also my offroad shop has the opinion that the Billet control arms tend to squeak, He prefers the steel UCA's. Ill trust his judgment.
