Luke McMillin won the Mint 400 and Bryce Menzies took 2nd. Both are on Fox.

I beleive Bryce Menzies took the W at Vegas to Reno 2019 and Jason Voss took 2nd (King truck).

We also have to keep the realization that these trucks have little to absolutely no comparison to what we're discussing other than the shock manufacturer sticker. It's just fun to look at the results. I like racing.

everyone pisses and moans about icon leaking. Kings and fox NEvEr :duh: do that.

if you just put king components in icons, boom problem solved. That being said, no issues with my icons

10-4. I don't on icons or even know what the drama is with em. Idk if it's bad seals or bad clearances on a "nominal" seal.

so you’re recommending to replace company As seals with company B or even C to resolve an issue that is already known? Why wouldn’t I just buy company B or C?

Better yet, you have obviously never torn the 3 down yourself so what you’re recommending is careless and ignorant. I also don’t remember hearing anyone say Fox/King don’t leak. Just that Icons were more prone to leaking, which from my experience stands true as the bearing housing on an Icon uses one less seal than both Fox & King.

Have toytec boss coilovers with resis on the 4 runner and never had an issue. Love the ride and way the work on long washboard roads at high speeds. 36 miles from where I live over humbug summit to Chester and smooth as hell, no heat up on the shocks and its been three years. Still ride the same.

Well we are taking shocks which is pretty much their offering lol so when they leak their whole line is affected.

That said coils for Fox and King are not made by them...so kinda irrelevant.

I was researching lift kitsch before buying mine. Just generic Google searches at first. Like eibach vs fox lift kits for instance. One of the first that I was was a ford or Chevy forum. A guy had fox's on his truck. His buddy had eibach. He said after riding and driving both vehicles he felt the performance difference was definitely not worth the price difference and he wished he had saved his money and went with the cheaper set up. So I recommend digging deep. Read people's real world experiences. Not just what people's opinions are. But all of these brands are successful so they must all make good enough products to stay in business.

I believe they're 2 sides to the same coin?

Not 100% sure though, maybe someone else can confirm/deny

    Icon makes the girls wet.

Unfortunately it’s because they leak fluid.

Most podiums in off road racing history. Was around before king. King just bit off the recipe.

I have had really good luck with my Icons! I have 53,000 miles on them and i did just recently have the left front start leaking. I wouldnt say i abuse my truck wheeling but its seen a fair amount offroad time. I am pretty happy with how they perform. Its a daily driver and drives great on the highway. Everyone always swears by whatever they are running so its a matter of doing your research on how you want your truck to ride like. I would love to change out my entire suspension and try out Kings but dont have the cash to do that anytime soon!

I put a lot of miles in my FJ on Bilstiens with Toytec springs on a 3" lift. No issues. Maybe its different for Tacomas.

Having had 2 sets of icons and one set of kings imho the icons rode better. Never had an issue with any of them but one icon did leak due to operator error.
If I had to do it again ads all the way.
