So in the middle of trying to install my icon UCA's and ran into a problem. I cant seem to get the taper pin to go into the ...spindle i believe it is called. The taper pin just stays in one position and wont move at all so it wont fit into the spindle hole. Its like te taper pin is fixe din its orientation in the UCA preventing it to go in.

I hope that makes sense. Bit frustrated and dirty and tyring ot figure this out

Got a picture? You may have to put a jack under the lower control arm to move the spindle up a bit, for easier alignment between the spindle and the pin.

I used a block of wood and hammer to smack the tapered pin to the correct angle. Then jack the LCA up to seat the pin.

These 1" dia uniballs can be tight when new, because of the teflon liner. Put a deep socket over the pin, attach a 6" extension to the socket for leverage, and move the ball and pin over.

And yes, expect the steering feel to be slightly worse when done, since the uniball adds that much friction.

yes, the wood is to protect the tapered pin from dingage. You can use whatever you want to hit the pin, just dont use something that will damage it or the treads. Tap it. It's very tight when new. Mine was
