    That's nuts.

My front 2.5 ICON coilover was empty of oil within ~5 weeks of installation (pure pavement driving). Just yesterday I found out that one of my rear shocks is also leaking (at the fitting which extends to the remote reservoir) - less than 6 months of easy city use. Not willing to even consider warrantying this shock due to how poorly ICON handled the first warranty claim. Never again! Kings or OME.

Before assuming things, might want to actually do some research into when my ICONs were installed, and when that photo was taken. 100% stock suspension. The most "off roading" my ICONs have been subjected to was the couple inches of snow in the last few weeks. Garbage product, garbage customer service.

easy compadre just an observation. If you used your stock suspension like so you likely use the Icon similarly. Heavy loads like whats pictured will work the shocks more than you think, especially a 2.0. That being said, shoot me a PM and I will help you as best I can with your warranty claim.

I came off a bit harsher than I intended - for that I apologize. I can understand your assumption re: use, but I assure you, that's not the case. Even in that photo, considering the weight of the canopy (200lbs) and the bed slide (100lbs), the entire rear end has no more than 600-700lbs on it (and that's being generous), which is far from anything even remotely "abusive." Fifteen gallons of liquids (5 fuel, 10 water), a ~40lb eazy-up canopy (tan, middle of photo), and the ~40lb (60lb loaded?) fridge. The rest is nothing but fluff - mattresses, clothing, sleeping bags. The truck hasn't seen anything this "heavy" since. I'll shoot you a PM in a few minutes.

Meh......honestly, I've seen every manufacture have at least one or two shocks leak. King, Fox, Icon, OME, OEM......etc

If you do this, I hope you have better luck finding the correct length grade 8 fasteners at your local hardware store than I did. Wound up buying a box of 25 online.

But that would invalidate the stereotype of the Icon owner mentioned earlier in this thread.

OEM replacement, can't figure out which Fox or King setup we need, weekend warrior, less capable drivers incapable of installing or maintaining aftermarket parts correctly. If the shoe fits, I'll wear it. :D

BAH! I like Icon. The ones I had rode great. However, and I'll stand by this, Icon dropped the ball on this. You don't have dynamic forces from a pivot point held in place by a "C" mount. Noop....Newp......Nupe......No. "Maybe" if mounted to thick structural steel, but not the thin steel of the OEM mount. And for those "Never happened to me, and I beet my shiot UP!, YO!" peeple......well........Some folks have been shot in the face..........or have a bleeding anus........Just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Bottom line is that bending moment was under estimated on this component....or not considered.
