Well I finally shook loose a bit of time to start work on my 2019 Cement TRDOR trail limo. I’ve been collecting parts for a little while now and I’ve decided I’ll do things in stages.

Current list (in progress as I type)

    Stage 1:
Suspension: 5100s with medium dakars and TC UCAs
Gears: Nitro 5.29s, ARB front, factory e-locker rear
    Wheels: SCS Ray10s 17x8.5
    Tires: 285/70 KBro2s
Misc: TC bed stiffeners, Diamondback HD tonneau, TRD Pro grille
Lighting: Meso puddles, total tail stage 2 and ultimate turns

    Stage 2:
    Mobtown Sliders
    CBI T3 front bumper
CBI high clearance rear bumper with swing out
    Winch (tbd)
Modular bed rack system (built by me)

    Ready to start work

Front end stripped out, getting ready to pull the front clamshell. One thing that surprised me, but probably shouldn’t have, is how tight and torqued everything is. I figured it being brand new it’d be easy, seems like everything was torqued to 1mil ftlbs...

    Update: 9/6
Took the wheels and tires over to get tpms swapped and mounted. Would have been easier with the truck put together, but I’m waiting on a brake line... but check out my sweet beater loaded to the max!

I’m excited I’m finally working on it, even if it is just just a bit here and there.

    Update: 9/14
Finished putting everything back together on my one free night this week, (which was really just checking torques and diff levels). Definitely needs an alignment to get some caster to help the scrub.

This afternoon I decided I’d just go ahead and take care of the cab mount and pinch weld. The plan is to pull the liners, Reagan smash the pinch, cut the cab mount and reform the liners.

One side done, gonna do the other side and roll like this to make sure I’m good to go and do not need to cut more.

    Update: 9/16

Cab mount chop was effective, have a little rub on some plastics which I’ll let the tires mark up for me. Should have room for 35s now!

Alignment tomorrow and then I can give a true report.

On another note, those of you with medium dakars, how long did it take for yours to settle? This thing looks ridiculous tall in the back. Haven’t measured but I’m guessing 1.5-2” rake.
