They wouldn't need to invest in factory equipment, doesn't Toyota make a 4D something diesel already in the rest of the world? The way I understood GM did it is they already had their plant in Thailand making their 2.8 duramax. Fuel economy I believe would be better then 30 mpg. The colorado diesels are already getting over 30 mpg on the highway (in engines that are not even broke in yet). I would use a diesel Tacoma to tow. Smaller things, mind you, that the gas engine could handle (couple of snowmobiles). But I want more then 8 mpg pulling them, and I want that low end torque for off roading. Also I would like it in a smaller package then the full sized trucks...with a 6 speed manual...sorry I am a broken record.:deadhorse::frusty::bananadead:

yes the VW msrp was $64089 for an Executive model with roof rack. We got it as demo with 6000 miles on it for $55000.00. We bought the GX new back in Jan of 04 and msrp on it back then was $50600 and it did not have nav and we paid $47100. My vehicle I get allowance from work that covers 6k a year for my truck so most of it is covered. We made payments for 36 months when we bought the Lexus and put down 12k when we got it then continued making payments to ourselves in savings till she was ready for new one then we paid cash for it. So no I do not make a lot and I make payments to ourselves still to replace hers when it comes time so we can just pay for it. Usually I would of traded the Lexus in but thought it would be nice to have a third vehicle. That said we don't use it so I thought I would like a toy and could split the miles. I like to off road and figure this is my best time to ever do it. I first have to work out seat issue still but hope I can.
