Getting ready to do the install in my '07 DoubleCab. I've decided to fab my own adapters out of MDF. I know ********* makes theirs out of 1 inch MDF but I have 3/4 inch on hand. Will this give enough clearance behind the speakers? ID lists the top mount depth of the CTX65CS at 2.89 inches. Anyone fab their own mounts for these speakers, please chime in.

Try this... Roll down window then take door panel off. But braket on and then put the speaker in the hole. If the back of it does not hit the glass you are in good shape.

My baffles are 3/4" mounting a 2.7" speaker driver and they clear just fine.

Ok. Used the 3/4 inch MDF. It's close but no interference.
