I used to see prowlers all the time 15 or more years ago, haven't saw one in at least 5 years. Maybe people are embarrassed to drive them.

When I was ten I also thought the Plymouth prosper was cooler than the other side of the pillow too

    Indeed.

Damn it. Now I'm racking my grey matter trying to remember all of the companies Chrysler absorbed over the years.....:frusty:

Edit- Is it a Maxwell? I know Chrysler bought them and then dropped the label in the mid-20's...

Well that's definitely a Dodge Brothers badge...Tough to say if it's on a Coupe, Sedan, or otherwise from picture, though...

Bingo it is a 1906 Maxwell.

This was Jack Benny's favorite car too drive in his movies....

In 1925, Chrysler formed his own company, the Chrysler Corp That same year, the Maxwell line was phased out and the Maxwell company assets were absorbed by Chrysler. The Maxwell car would continue to live on in another form however, because the new line of 4-cylinder Chrysler's which were introduced for the 1926 model year were created largely by using the design of the previous year's Maxwell. And this former Maxwell would undergo yet another transformation in 1928, when a second reworking and renaming would bring about the creation of the first Plymouth.

There's one in FL for sale on Hemmings for under $30k....
That'd be one hell of an investment :D

Wish I could find the story on the specific car as it was the first car that was produced by Maxwell Motor Company completely original in a barn in Iowa. I think it was a 1904/05 Roadster and at one time it was registered to Jack Benny from the paper work found with the car...
