    Snow cats tracks are freaking huge. I've been in some. Them are like 2' wide.

    Mat tracks..aren't much wider then some beefy snow tires

    Yea that too..on a snow cat is huge..mat tracks I guess are bigger but I still feel like tires like on the article trucks are better.

    Tires flex around bumps better too..

    I also disagree. Tracks will get you wayyy further than tires will. Unless your talking about 44's at 2psi, your 33's will not get you where tracks will.

    They are 40s I think..or 42x14 wide.

    And not they struggled in a boulder fueled. Still hauled over just bumpy shit. Anything would be slow in a boulder field haha the downside to those trucks is they are basically on stock suspension. Had not travel.

    Well that's just so you don't have to buy a second machine(snowmobile).

    Snow cars work great..but for offroad..they aren't going to help that much. Just like mat tracks won't help that much. They are for a very specific terrain. Very deep snow and a lot of it that is mostly flat.

    All I'm saying..

    I wonder how easy it is to throw a track off of those mattracks? We have to worry about that in snow, mud and sand in our Paladins all the time.

    In the real world the tracks are superior in snow. You may say that a 45" tire at 2 psi will out perform them, but none of us can fit 45" tires and we can fit Mattracks. If you can fit a 45" then you can fit a bigger Mattrack (assuming one exists) that will outperform the 45" tires.

    they also make tracks for swamps and very soft mud like that low impact to the earth is their idea. problem is the tracks break down alot trust me, also if you get stuck with tracks youre gonna be there for weeks getting them out where as a truck with big tires will pull out much easier cuz the tires don't act like damn achers in the snow.
    so yeah im gonna agree with this guy a tire is more versital in the real world we play in..

    Haha. We never said the tire wasn't the most versatile. There's a reason why it is the most common form of moving a vehicle in almost all motorsports.

    Yea up in Alaska on the tundra they actually use like a combo of the too. It's like 10 tires with no tread in a long line to keep the impact off the tundra.

    But tires FTW.

    and i am positive a truck with the mat tracks would do better than those trucks. It would hardly have a problem. You also have to think about the tread...the mat tracks almost have paddles on them to push the truck along, where the tires are just tread spinning in a circle.

    Actually, it is more accurate to say all tacomas with the e-locker have an 8" ring gear with 4.10 ratio. This is true for '97 thru '04.

    You can't define it as TRD models because there were no '97 model TRDs, yet there were '97s with the same e-locker diffs.
