What do new wheelers packs go for?

Yeah im planning on getting some 1" or 1.5" shackles for my All Pro's. With the new cap or whenever i load up the bed, it sits level or i get a little bro lean. These springs broke in quick. Ive actually contemplated getting some Expos now :spy: Anyone want some All Pro 3" springs?

My rear bumper prevents me from doing shit all the time!! Front bumper never has. I am of the opinion rear bumper before front now!! Too bad I ordered a front before I realized this...

Fun fact. I didnt know this, but the 95-97 leaf spring length is the same as the pre-95 trucks.

Almost 500 shipped without the AAL

I've heard the standards don't hold weight very well

Your a silly 2nd gen

Yep. That's why if I wanted Dakars I'd have to get the ones for the pre tacos

I don't see how a 2nd gen is any worse there than a 1st. Overhang past the rear axle looks pretty similar plus you guys were dragging your tow package just as much as I was in Moab.

I touched once. Ben like 4 times and he is on shorter tires.

You can't be serious?? 2nd gen rear panels hang way lower then 1st gen.

They may be a little lower but I don't think it is by that much. The bottom of rear doesn't appear to be any lower than the low point of the cab, just like a 1st gen appears to be.

Then why do 1st gens still get them? haha

I don't know of anyone we know at has a high clearance..

And ats it tho! The whole body is lower on a 2nd gen..:notsure:

Either way the rear ends are much lower then on 1st gens

Oh, my bad you are right. I could have swore Jace's was, but i just checked and it isn't.

I guess the 2nd gen bodies must just hang lower past the frame than 1st gens, which my 1" BL just helped that a lot, especially when I get a high clearance bumper.

Yeah that rack is pretty nice. Looks very very similar to the baja rack I was looking at, although I think he paid less for his.

Yea looks beefier but I like the built in light bar hoop part too.

I've only seen like 2-3 1st gens that have cut the bedsides.. Merits almost nothing due to the shackles tho.

2nd gens are the same way really. I was checking out Brant's and the shackles hang lower than uncut bedsides already. The only thing it nets you is more clearance at the bumper really since you can go to a thinner bumper.

Yeah I imagine it is beefier but the weight bearing issue is in the mounting point to the cab, and both mounting setups look pretty much the same. Using the factory holes in the roof so it's probably not really anymore weight bearing, just heavier itself. Plus I don't really like the look of the LED bar up there... haha

I am rocking a HC bumper. It really depends on how you wheel. I push my truck to the max and that bumper has hit more rocks than brants tires.

IDK if youve ever had lights obove the cab but if you do get spot cuz flood puts lots of light on the windshield and kills your visabilty

    My leafs are perfectly fine.
But a front bumper would be bad ass!! And I could run over stuff and give no fucks. And actually the one trail I do in the desert I have to pick my line super careful or I ruin my bumper, it is a real problem lol
Oh come on, what's this plan and how does my 4 banger ruin it?

Good to know. And see I forgot about Konsta's HC bumper. haha

Pretty much all of the SIK guys have hacked their bedsides on all the rigs, Cherokees, 4 runners, Pre-tacos. But they also wheel/beat on their rigs harder than pretty much anyone on this site.

So my grandpa had recently purchased a car hauler that my Uncle now has. I would have to check if it can haul a Tacoma or if it is rated or just cars, but it would be cool if you met me in Poky, then we could load your Taco up on the trailer, haul it down to Moab, and split gas and then if I break something you could haul me back (or not becuase my weight alone is more than your Taco is rated for... the flaw in the plan) and if I didn't break anything I could just haul you back to Poky.

Would work great if I didn't break anything, but I think we would kill your tranny trying to haul me back...

Plus gas for the trip would be cheaper for both of us I imagine.

Bumper is done woot woot! Install tomorrow! Gonna be sweet. And i disagree for the buper thing. I would have smashed mine 100 times over if I had the plastic bumper in the front. My rear doesnt matter since the tow packege hits before the bumper does. but thats just how I wheel I guess. And yeah the All Pro standards suck with weight. I am trading a guy straight across, his Expos for my standards. He doesnt have weight and I do.

    Pics?:)

Yeah really in the scheme of things you just need both front and rear. If it wasn't for the tow package and the bull bar both my bumpers would be gone given what I have done.

Oh ya shit there is no way I could tow your truck. The 1st gen v6 couldn't even do that. Maybe we can find another dedicated tow rig?
