Ok guys. I am trying to plan my rear bumper with Ben. Got any suggestions or ideas on it.
I am shooting for something like this:



I just hung out at Brant's for a few hours and we BSed about all kinds of shit. haha Anyway I am trying to make sure I am not missing things. haha

For starters, any recommendations on if the sides of the bumper should be higher than or even with the frame? Trying to figure out how high up to cut the bed really.

And actually I am pretty tired and can't think of what else to ask. haha

 

I'd try and copy Eric's design. His is by far the best looking of the 2nd gens. I wouldn't cut above the frame I'd want the bumper to hit before the frame

 

If he had CBI do the tire gate they can make it removable too

 

It didn't come up actually... haha I think we will just shoot for Moonlight. If Konsta can show us the way it should be a good ride with or without snow.

Also, tire gate costs more money, hands are tied there. Plus I have a cool bed mount to stand up a spare tire in the bed. Plus bigger tires are way out of the question for a while now and I can fit a 33" spare under the bed, not that I have one... Still factory spare tire.

 

Brant and I discussed this, his is removable, and they are kind of a pain to remove mostly due to weight. Guess if you had a hand wouldn't be so bad, but you would certainly have to know you were hauling something before hand.

Also if Brant makes it down I may be able to do the tow thing with him. haha He is thinking about towing his down himself already though, but may have the ability to come up with a trailer that could haul both of our rigs

 

I don't see how it could be a pain..with the tire off mine would only be I think 50lbs..

And that's gonna be a lonnnnngggg trailer haha
