 Glad you're still here talking to us!

One questions though...why is your helmet on the ground? You were wearing it right? I thought the medics usually try to transport you with the helmet on to avoid aggravating any injury?

Neegative ghost rider. I take those off, very carefully. Got to be able to see my patients face and assess their breathing. Can't five oxygen with their helmet on. I do take it to the hospital though.

Maybe its an extra helmet for a rider

My helmet had pull tabs on it where the shell detached from the pads and comes off easily so I took it off and put it on the ground I could't see anything it was covered in dirt. No EMTs or ambulance ride some friends in the area picked me and the bike up and took me straight to the hospital.

Not really that surprised. A C7 fracture is bad, but could be way worse. You definently should have gone by Ambulance though. You could have done more damage during the car ride.

    Hope you get well soon

Any other camping sites on the West side of Spokane? I would rather not have to drive across Spokane every day... Even north would be better.

Hello, Name is Karl. New to this Forum but not forums in general. Well I came across these post and wanted to let you know that there might be a closer campground. I live on the west side of the state now but I grew up in Spokane and have been to the ORV park a bunch. I don't know if you have tried to look into it but Riverside State Park has (non-peak) season camping. I have camped there in the middle of winter. Unless they have changed their rules. Might be a better option than KOA which is at least a 30 to 45 min drive from the ORV park and not to mention all the construction that is always in Spokane.

    http://www.parks.wa.gov/parks/?selectedpark=Riverside&subject=camping

I know that is shows the 9-mile recreation camping is closed but try Riverside State Park.

    Hope that helps. :)

Sorry I wasn't more specific. Ya they are 2 different campgrounds but part of the same State Park system. The one I was referring to is Bowl and Pitcher campground. It is near SFCC and maybe 15 minutes to ORV. I think its a better option than KOA. Again, last time I camped there was over 8 years ago so things might have changed. IF anything call the ranger station (509) 465-5064. Anyways, hope that works.

Well thanks for the invite but don't know if I can make it at this time. Maybe your meet in Spring.
