    Lol no they aren't they increase rpms for us. Would put me at almost 3000rpm for 65..3400 with 4.29s..75 would never happen haha that would suck..

    May be but I still think they are the right choice for you. 4,56s are too little for 35s and and 5.29s are tooo much.

    5.29s aren't too much with 35s. What Jon has. He doesn't love it on the hwy, but works great offroad..

    Idk though. Can't afford it anyways haha

    5.29's would put you 1st gen 5 spd guys at about 3000 rpm at 65 mph on 33's and about 2800 rpm on 35's.

    4.88's would put you at about 2700 rpm at 65 mph on 33's and about 2550 on 35's.

    I run just over 2300 at 65 mph. 35's would drop me to about 2200 rpm/

    I think you should always overshoot stock. Sure stock would get your rpm's back but you have more rotational weight from the tires now so you won't get the stock feel back. I'm a big fan of just overshooting stock and getting a better than stock feel to the rig. Love my 4.88's! Could only imagine how awesome 5.29's would be!

    No 4.88s and 35s would be like stock. 4.88s and 33s is over stock.

    I figure by the time I go 35s ill have a crawl box or one right after them anyways.

    Gears are for high speed driving, particularly the other 90% of the driving you do as Ben calls it. Sure they may help you guys save your clutch a little offroading but I think the gain is minimal cuz the change is so minimal at low speeds. Crawlboxes are where it is at for offroading.

    4.10's would have put my 33's back to factory. 4.88's would need 40's to achieve factory rpm's for me.

    But you are starting from 3.73s while we are starting from 4.10s. I lot of the difference you are calling out is right there. Add to that, your v6 churns out more HP and torque than ours.

    Makes all the diff.
