Jesus either commit or don't. It I Spain to rip everything out for a 4wd system. Especially I you don't know what to look for. Trying to get rid of my ABS and TRAC is a royal NIGHTMARE!!!

ABS and TRAC is easy, either pull the ABS #2 fuse or just cut the wires to the wheel speed sensors. Done.

 

My father-in-law abuses the shit out of his Powerstrokes, he has 3 of them now actually. Hasn't done any mods to them (other than converting the 99 to a flat bed) so factory tire size with jus all terrains and stock height. One is a early 90's, one is a 99 and the 3rd is an 08. The 2 newer ones are ext cab long beds and the older one is regular cab, and not sure if it is a long bed or short bed, it's a flat bed now though. He tow's the stock trailer with them (15K+ lbs depending on how many calves he is taking to the sale) and basically takes them mudding/snow wheeling when he is out in the fields and out feeding and they do it all just fine. I've gone feeding with him and I know my Tacoma couldn't do what he does with his powerstrokes, but I'm also not heavy enough to drag that loaded hay trailer through the mud. haha

In other news, howdy everyone.

 

I like the older International 7.3 Powerstrokes that was a badass engine. Everyone in my family who has had a Ford diesel newer than 03 has had nothing but crankshaft and injector problems. I have heard that this new engine that they came out with is pretty special but we'll see how reliable it gets with higher mileage.

My uncle pulls his alpha on a flatbed and his backhoe with his 1997 with 315,000 miles and it never misses a tick.
