Idaho BS thread in the PNW

Yeah that pullup just seems odd. haha

They do make 2.5" BS wheels. I guess the older Nissan pickups or something came factory with them. The Nissan pathfinder I wheel with is running 2.5" BS wheels. I thought he was crazy at first until I looked at them and Nissan is the same lug pattern as us.

 

It does look odd. But when you see it in person and you have like 5-8 pull ups done when the guy next to you jumps up and does the set if 25 in like 8-10 seconds..you get it haha it's awesome.

Well for reference I'm at 2.5" BS now...so..I can't imagine having them out that far without LT.

Haha no. Kills your grip. You have to have a wide grip.

Is it easier then strict pull ups? Yes.

Bit it's up made up for in quantity. Unless you can do tons of strict pull ups really fucking fast. Plus more of your lats are used and core

For a test try this.

Workout: Fran

21 reps of thrusters are 95lbs
21 pull-ups
15 thrusters
15 pull-ups
9 thrusters
9 pull-ups


That's it.

Time yourself.

I can almost promise most of you will be around 10 minutes or longer.

Crossfiters do it in under 3 minutes.

Fastest guys in under 2 mins.

The butterfly kip is a huge advantage to that.

In fact that video Brady posted is Fran. You'll feel great about yourself after not even come remotely close to that girls time haha

Or there is murph. The last workout I did on me,Orval weekend for Memorial Murph.

Wear a 20lb vest for the full workout

Run 1 mile
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
Run a mile

The pulls would damn near be impossible without Kiping. Butterfly helps em go fast.

As a matter of perspective tho really. We still have workouts that have strict ones. Or chest to bars which make it way worse.

 

I don't have a pullup bar at home to do that and ISU's gym would be hard to do that. You would be hogging the bar too much.

it would have been cool if i had but no the bed rock went away and all that was there to grip was silt so it sank and got the hook.

Escelator, went better

 

I use those after I can no longer do strict pull-ups since I average about 500 pu's on back day.

Did you get any body damage or did your sliders save you?

 

Sliders saved me. It was close. At one point it was dragging the mirror about to snap it off but I pulled forward and had jace fold it in.

 

ISU only has 5 pullup bars in the gym and 2 of those are the gravitron ones that you can add weight to to make it easier for you.

After a little adjustment the first day the locker worked perfectly the rest of the trip. Beat the piss out of it and it clicked on and clicked off smoothly each time. Best thing I ever did lol.

I know right! He said he's in it like $80K but that is because a shop did all the fab work for him.

 

ya eff that. good luck trying to recover some of the cost of that fab work. No way I would pay anywhere close to that haha!

also if i do actually possibly want to clear 35s, more rear lift and probably a 1" bl are in my future lol! but 35s are just a maybe
