I already said haha. Most of that is from the big gaps in the joints and the thin metal getting holes blown in it. That is from filling in the hole

 

What thickness did you use?

 

so the CV with the outer boot on the inside of the retention hump

now has a loose clamp on the boot covering the hub fitting

anyone wanna predict how messy things are gonna get?

Like I said dude, if you get some angled needle nose pliers you should be able to crimp tighten the clamp more, or if it's a twist style boot twist it tighter if its not ripped it won't be that messy, it will just ooze out if the end

If your blowing holes in the metal then your running to hot. Filling hole sucks with flux core cause you need to clear the slag before you can weld on it again. If not you will get inclusions (impurities). Not like your build the thing for super strength but your also moving too slow as well, your build up is primarily from that. Move a little faster. Just saying. I work with two guys that are welders and so I pick their brains like no other on the subject

 

His welder is a 110v 90 amp crap thing. Basically hi and low for voltage.

He was using super thin metal too which didn't help.
