 I like knowing random facts...go on...

I knew there was something about 911 but I didn't know you could still make calls when the local service was down...thought it was more about when you were roaming or whatever.

Did you know that deaf people invented the football huddle?
    http://fookembug.wordpress.com/2010...ican-football-huddle-by-deaf-football-player/

ANY phone that doesn't have a SIM, can still dial 911 and should reach it, if there is service. That's what the deal is, in a nutshell.

I have a fancy (older) smartphone, that I picked up for cheap, that I use as a PDA of sorts, with my cheap Tracfone. So I have apps, wifi, and texting/calls between the two. but I can still make a 911 call with my fancy phone, even though I don't have a SIM or service for it.

so you don't break your water bottles. These are SOOO much more flexible and such. I LOVE my camelbak.

Also, if you don't want to be tracked, this is why you have to take the SIM AND the battery out. Kill all power, because even if you take the SIM out, they can still track you if the phone is on. If the phone is powered off, but the SIM and battery are in, they can track.

Only waterbottles I roll with are the classic nalgenes. There really isn't any equal for those. I'll use a bladder if I'm gonna be hiking or some other thing when I need a larger quantity.

For work, in the heat of summer, I'd often carry a 30lb pack, part of that was a 3 liter bladder + 2 1 liter nalgenes. It's hot out there.

This version I'm talking about is American football! Quit it!

As for the phone, in theory, yes. But they'd need your number to track the SIM. Easy enough, I guess. No SIM, it is a LOT harder to track, because you don't have an assigned phone number, and they'd have to find you by a lot harder means (the identifying info is a lot more anonymous, see? random strings of numbers, etc, I think) Not sure.

You can get a brand new Nalgene from them for around $10 shipped, at least a while back ago. So don't give me this cheap stuff.

I wish I was good as you - saving everything. and tap water + old water bottles (or Nalgenes) is a lot cheaper than bottled.

I bought my nalgene over five years ago. for $9. I still have it and use it every day. You tell me that $9 isn't cheap over 5 years.

Yes I think ill haul them for the first leg. My dad for the second leg. Not bringing them on the third. They will be beat and probably tear their pads again.

Love em tho. Fun to have em along for sure.

What??? They are so cheap. And last forever. Only time I've ever seen one break after trying pretty much everything was dropping it off a 150' cliff full of water. Exploded.

Can drink 7 times before it become lethally toxic..

    Deal
