Both have 5 band was and iPod USB interface as well as audio in. Only rear USB tho. They usually send a cable so you can run it to where ever. That's how mine is. Idk why you would want both. And I hate having a USB thing out the front blocks like crap. Only the first has built in blue tooth and better signal noise ratio but not super important.

The other has a few other things the first one doesn't. Nothing real important.

Both have 3 4v pre amp outputs which is important for external amps.

I like my windows down but anything over 45 is just pointless. And hurt the ears.

8 ga is pretty small for power wire..

The DEH-P8400 is very similar to mine. I havent looked closely but it looks like it can do the bluetooth with your HTC phone which means hands free answer and call and probably pandora from the phone as well as any music on it. Then also you can use a jump drive thru its USB like I do.

 

500gb hard drive won't work. Doesn't on mine. Draws too much power. Want even charge my iPad cause it draws too much

USB will still work through your phone tho. I do that with mine. Stream your audio off it too through it and charges it.

Yea basically Bluetooth is the biggest difference.

what powers it? The power thru the USB on the computer may be higher output than the USB on the HU. Just because it works on the computer does not guarantee it'll work when only connected thru the HU in the truck.

Hard drives draw too much power. It won't work. Doesn't on mine. Already tried.

 

Now if it was an SSD it might work. Hmmm.....

Of course, those are still kinda pricey.
