    I've been once with my parents was the summer right before I deployed. Pretty cool, but we mostly just rode around in the car and looked. This time we will likely do a lot of hiking. I'll have to message you guys. Can't imagine I would go through there without at least have lunch or dinner with you two.
    Sounds easy enough. haha Not sure if my grill fits in my back seat though... especially with the cooler, haven't ever tried.

    i found these blinkers on epotato that come with the sockets

    thinking about wiring directly into that socket rather than using a toyota connector

    but i cant remember exactly how we wired the switchbacks the other day//how the sockets look

    That's true. haha. The grill is a nice backup though. What do you do for firewood? Just go buy some from somewhere or cut your own before hand? We picked some up at Cameron's place last night (ran his electric chainsaw off of the bed outlet, I don't recommend that haha) but we were only packing for a night, not a week or so and I would have a hard time fitting much wood in my bed plus gear. City of Rocks has strict no cutting rules (not that there are many trees out there anyway) and I'm sure Yellowstone rules are similar if not the same.

    Get a bow saw and cut your own!
    I go out with my dad once a year or so and get some firewood that I keep stashed for the season. I bring some with me but I also gather a bit wherever I am at - especially little stuff to use as kindling. In Yelly you can't cut down a tree but if its already down then its fair game. No chainsaws though, only axes and hand saws. And you can't take any wood within a certain distance of the roads/boardwalks/trails/etc. There is a fishing access just inside the west entrance that I usually stop at to get a few small scraps. You'll never find anything within 1/4 mile of any camp...they're picked clean. I laugh everytime I'm down there because if there is a freshly fallen tree near camp the poor thing has been hacked apart by unprepared campers...anything thinner than your arm is gone and a mangled trunk is left behind. Last year in Jenny Lake Camp they cleared out a bunch of beetle kill and just left huge lengths of trees around camp. People tried to cut them up and failed. I finally asked the camp host why they didn't just cut them all up and stash them in the hiker/biker campsites since those people would be the ones who would have the hardest time transporting firewood.

    I don't have anywhere to store any wood... What little I have has been riding around in my bed for about 2 weeks now. haha I didn't know whether you could scavenge fallen stuff but like you said I had expected it to already be picked clean. When I was going to Cameron's last night to get wood I saw some for sale at Maverick's when I was getting gas. Probably would have been cheaper to have done that than it was to drive to Cameron's and back. haha

    On the cooking on a campfire note, I don't own anything to cook on a fire with besides tinfoil dinners. haha.
