I didn't realize you were in SLC. Went thru there last evening. Stayed in Ogden last night.

 

Well I am in provo actually. About 35 miles south of SLC. Lol I am hoping to make the run next year hopefully. Should be set up good enough to go then.

 

well, you went through provo, slc then ogden. so slc was actually only a third of it. it all just morphs together



ben made it safely to boise, and i was able to convince him to hang out with us for a bit before and crashing at his friends house.

 

Ben, I was already in bed by the time you texted me (I've been going to bed at 9 and getting up at 5 for the last couple weeks or so...) but if you went from SLC to Boise, why did you go thru Poky? It would have saved you at least an hour if you took I-84 at Tremonton instead of staying on I-15...

 

Probably a little more than that cause it is at least a 2 hr divert to go through poky.

 

A 2 hour drive just to get thru SLC metro. Its incredible how big that place has gotten. 114 miles from spanish forks to ogden. One continuous city almost. Bumper to bumper traffic at 70 mph at 5:00 pm on a friday. With a few slowdowns thrown in. Reminded me of L.A.

 

According to google it is only a 50 minute difference. Surprised me because I thought it would be much larger as well.

It does but most seem to ignore it. Including the highway patrol.

I was coming down the pass about 10 miles before la grande on I-84 doing ~72-73, was passed by a BMW that had to be doing 90. We came around a bend with two parked PDs right there... They ignored both of us.
