When was the last time you checked the torque on the lower bj bolts on your truck?

 

first thing I do in the morning will be to go out and tighten the fuck out of them

 

don't over tighten them.

 

Just make sure they are not loose or one isn't missing.

45 ft lbs is the torque spec I think. Which isn't all that much when you think about it. The wheel lugs are 90.

 

i torque mine to 50 ft lbs. i always use blue thread lock and ive never had an issue. bent a drop braket and fucked up both passenger tierod ends ball joints are fine.

 

hassle to fix.... I would be the one fixing it ya jackass!!!!

the only thing yould would have to worry about is finding clean underware.

Good thing I swapped my UCA's too, found one of my bj's were worn as shit, don't wanna take the chance with the lowers

LT wise..idk..MCM has a good lookin kit for a great price..but i wouldn't mind a TC kit really..there is a BTF fab 4.5'' over half finished kit(needs mounts welded for shocks/straps) on TTORA that would be sweet to make work with custom axles and maybe some 10'' ORIs for epic travel..but..due to money..MCM looks killer haha plus supposed to come with shocks and coils for that price.

Then still want the Cantilever Engage kit for the rear

But..thats a shit load of money i don't have..and i need to replace all 4 shocks very soon. fronts are getting wore out(mostly coils, might as well do the whole coil over) and rears i be have no oil hardly left in them.

Makes for a nice soft ride all the time..but..sometimes too soft and allows too much body roll.

No really sure wtf is next really. I mean..obviously getting the 35s mounted and the gears installed is next..but after that..no idea.

 

Id go with a canti setup if there was a good offroad fab shop here....

Nah man. I have a TON of weight up there.

Huge skid, Plate bumper, dual batteries, winch. I honestly think its the coils.

Mostly cause i was sitting lower then when i started after the trip..particularly after Lander haha

 

MCM makes a canti kit? or a custom kit?

Cause you can just order the Engage kit as either a full DIY, a weld together kit, or mostly bolt on with some welding(frame stuff).

Was gonna go with the weld kit.

But in MCM makes one..that could be interesting..
