I don't think I'll ever own another bmw car

Maintenance is such a pain in the dick, my dad's 7 series sat in shops for months at a time

There is lag, but not bad. If you mash it from 3k revs its at or just under a second to full boost. There is a mild kelford cam in it and it redlines at 8, but we only take it to 7k when on the track cuz it falls off a bit that last k and then we miss the torque curve on the shift. It's also 2.3 stroked over 2.0 so its got gnartastic torque thru the rev range, not just top end.

The oil thing is interesting... We originally were starving the turbo, then got bigger line and now I think it cant drain fast enough. Or piston rings are going and we're just getting blow by when the pressure gradient changes after full boost to blow off.

And yea, we could easily tune it down, in fact I think there is still a flash for 91 on it. No meth injection, it's not a drag car.

all this talk makes me really miss the car!

Yea you probably increassed the feed oil line but didn't increase the drain line enought. really though a -10 AN JIC line for the feed should be be more then enough, need a -8 or -6 drain. Maybe even a -4 depending on your oil preassure.

yea thats the bad part about ultra boost. You go through rings a lot. No biggy though. easy to replace..well..sorta..

It sounds like if you just tuned it back to 91 and turned down the boost a bit (yes i know :pout:) you could drive it more on the street.

i bet the 2.3 is fun a hell to drive..

and meth isn't for drag cars lol meth/water injection is awesome for any boosted vehicles. Its just a nozzle about 6'' from the throttle body that only lets a 50/50 mix of water and meth inject when under boost. Its great for turbo setups. Helps protect the engine more and adds about 40-50hp or more.

There is no tune on that GTR... Just fun to play with. My dads copy car is tuned well though.

Lets play name that Ferarri :D There's a bunch of vids in my youtube profile of our evo but this one fits the supercar discussion! Turn your speakers up and :goingcrazy: Loudest car at the track that weekend for sure!

I need to get my real camera out and get pics... this barely does the rock lights any justice! I need to install the most rear ones and then it will be finished.

I kno I've said this before but I luv Chris Harris. For those of us that will probably never have an opportunity to drive supercars, he brings them to life.
