And yeah, good luck keeping your foot out of your boost... My hwy mileage on my Taco is about 17-18mpg and city is about 12mpg and that big gap is because I can't keep my foot out of my gears around town. If I had boost it would be even worse! haha

 

my throwing my magnaflow and wanting to hear it fucked my MPGs, god if i had a blower.... hahaha

 

Shit i even know my Dad just looks for people to pass to romp on his haha

In high school my friend would get various parts added to his Frontier that he had, like an intake and exhaust and he would justify them because they were supposed to improve you mileage. But then he would just use the skinny pedal a lot more because he liked the sound of it! haha

 

I dig it

no cabin drone, can't hear it at cruising speeds

but definitely noticeable

esp if you want it noticeable

By the way I ditched the ginormous 24" magnaflow muffler for an 18" my muffler guy had laying around his shop. Sounds tits now. My foot is always in it, 2nd gear is always on the boards My hwy temps are a bit warmer than with the 24" tho and I seemed to have lost a smidge of torque...

 

Damn..wtf..i missed it

opening the exhaust more = loss of low end torque but gains in the upper rpms.

before i had 33s and armor and all 2000lbs of extra shit. My truck REALLY woke up at 2900rpm and up. Was awesome.

still my "power" zone. Anything above 3k feels good. Below on the hwy..not so much..haha

 

yea, that's what i attributed it to. Guess I just need a charger then it can be wide open

I BSed with him for a few hours the other day and I don't think I asked him how his MPG are now. He likes it a lot better for towing his camper now though! He still wants to regear though to make it a little better.

 

Is he still on stock gears???? I never knew lol I can imagine it would be better. One of these day he will come wheeling lol
