Dude i was at an AES conference..im pretty sure everything there was setup perfect..haha

And you can get high impedance versions of the Denons i think..High impedance is what most mixing cans are really.

i listened to 650s twice..and have never been as impressed as i have with many other cans..idk why they are such a standard..always sound kinda murky and dull.

 

Never had hd650's because of that reason. They are a slow headphone/"colored". I just mentioned them because I remembered you saying something about them a while back.

Denon does not make nor has not made a 6000 headphone, what did you hear? The old models were d2000, d5000 and d7000. The new ones are D600, D7100. haha I could go on for a long time about headphones... it's what I did before TW.

yea d7k's. Those are awesome, had a friend with them in college. Cost over 1k new and they dont make them anymore so you can bet they're more spendy now... They're low ohm too so they still sound decent out of an ipod jack.

haha, look up sennheiser orpheus or sony R10. Those are expensive pieces.

Stax SR-009 are all the rage in the headphone world right now. Electrostatic driver in those from Japan

word. But with those phones it's really a personal taste for the "gear". I get tired of people who get into the hobby to listen to their gear and not the music... I was into headphones for the music and once I found my flavor (flat as shit) I got out lol.

 

Yea very true.

I want to go to a mastering studio and watch a guy work with a track. TOtally flat response far field monitors.. and kick as gear to just totally change it. Id love to know more about mastering.

 

Yea I know little about that for sure. Would be sweet to see. Have you seen "Sound City" Directed by Dave Grohl? Love that old Neve board!!!! Makes me love analog so much more and want to just dump digital haha.

 

Sound City..i think i have heard of that..I have played with a Neve board and seen like 5 old vintage ones..sick..

SSLs are freaking sweet though too..
