not really that hard to part a full size and they dont get that bad of milage. got a friend in his duramax getting 18mpgs in town and im getting 16mpgs in town with wore out injectors..

im getting 14 in town out of my taco on 35s and charged

There's a guy in my unit who seems pretty down to earth and knows his stuff but he claims he gets 30 mpg in his cummins doing 75 on the interstate its on 35's and chipped. I might believe 20 mpg but I have a hard time believing 30. Would be awesome though!

I have put 25 miles on the bike just putting around the last 2 days... Gas savings ahoy!

It's not like any of us are going to make our trucks unusable as trucks any time soon. I highly doubt every single day you need a truck unless you do work that needs it. So should you need it just pull it out for a bit, if not a car is so much more efficient

If I want 35's, full armor and a supercharger I don't want to have to be easy on the truck because it's my only vehicle. I want to push its limits!

Ya I get that. But even if you have a modded out truck you could still "dd" it provided its not actually broken. So there is no point to having 2 of the same truck, just one more bad ass than the other. Now getting a bigger truck as a tow vehicle is different. You can dd your tow vehicle and boom, no more worrying about breaking the play toy. But daily driving a tow vehicle is expensive as you can get. So I think it depends on how hard you want to push it. If you not have to get back to our driveway then I would get a nice cheap car, if you want to just go balls out, get a full size to tow it.

 

I just need to get something that is a double cab. My preference is either a double cab 1st gen, second gen, or duramax.

 

Well again like I said, if you are getting A second truck might as well just get a tow vehicle. All problems solved.

But when is this happening? How much do you make at 19 you can afford another truck. The AF pay that well huh?

 

Look at john, he went out and bought a grand national with cash when he started...

 

Once this truck is payed off I'll be able to afford another one easy. I'm not talking about a new Duramax at all! Haha A new Tacoma would be the limit. This is in another year or two though. By then I'll be making more as well.

There's people that have $35-$40,000 vehicle making the same pay as I do. Definitely don't plan to do that though haha

 

yea they are on payment plans though and don't mod them i bet haha

 

This too haha They either buy them modded out already from the dealership (ripoff) or leave them stock and say that their truck is better because it's more expensive. Haha

I'm paying as much on my Tacoma per month close to what the monthly payments would be on a new one. The only difference is how short my loan is.

Eh, kind of. Haha One person with a $38k truck is on a 6 year loan. Which isn't TERRIBLE. But still a long time haha
