Monte, whats your thoughts on a Clarion CZ302 deck

 

I got the impression he doesn't care that it is a 2wd though so it's probably no big deal.

 

Clarion makes decent stuff usually. Never seen a deck in person though.

looking at the specs..meh. Its okay.

Only 2 sets of pre amp outs..so if your planning on doing amps for the front adn rear speakers its fine. If you want a sub..doesn't have a dedicated sub output..not a good idea if you want a sub. Its selectable so you can either amp your fronts and rears..or fronts and a sub. I don't like that as id want front rears and the sub.

3 band EQ..so okay there. Nothing amazing.

ipod and blue tooth stuff, pretty standard these days.

If your not planning on a sub or amps for the speakers..it'll be fine.

If your wanting to really get better music and amp stuff..id get a bit higher level unit.

I already have a 12" Sony explode sub(ya i know they suck) but i fried my amp this summer. Id like to get a good deck, speakers f/r, and a new amp. Not sure i want to get a new sub at the moment.. I bump a lot of hiphop so the sub is used fairly often but i dont want to look like a db cruising the streets

 

I've been pretty happy with my Clarion deck in my car, but I bought that over 7 years ago now. haha

My buddy almost won a competition for best system couple years ago. Cant remember how many decibels he was throwing but it was fuckin loud.
